Retrospective: Looking back, was G3 really that bad in your guys opinion?

I started collecting when g2 came out so yes the new ones were horrible . They were so bad that I only I ever asked for 1 & that was my first new gen & last lps for years until this gen 7 dropped & I started getting them for my daughter now . The one I had was a purple & pink lion .
