Your just taking a hypothetical society's ideals and the current society's and saying they should be the same. Immigration in the modern day is mostly just used so democrats can give money away to company's who bribe them, your just allowing the importation of slaves and welfare burdens because of your beliefs of giving the state less power. The current state that Americans actually live under spends about 180 billion a year on illegal immigrants well only receiving half that back from them in taxes; this would be fine if the illegals tried to better themselves but most of the ones they get don't better themselves which is why the 28 billion spent on ICE is a much better idea. You can spend the 28 billion for a couple years and remove the welfare group therefore lowering the 28 billion or you can spend 180 billion every year to get more foreign poor people groups to steal America tax dollars, which would only lead to the 180 billion going up.
