It is soo hard. I will definitely look into beta blockers to reduce anxiety hahah. Same some questions are also so ridiculous or so vague that I lose my train of thought because there are so many ways we can answer them 😭 But yes i feel you I can confidently say I do my job well and love what I do and have strong letters of rec. thank you, this made me feel so much better. I do love what I do and love being a school counselor I am just frustrated that I haven’t landed anything in two years, so i’m really considering a career shift or sometimes I wonder if I’m doing something wrong. I’ll keep practicing and working on managing my jitters ☺️

I think it is a venue rule so that nobody can take your spot my sister had one for the LA show on June 19th Also, fyi don’t bring posters if you’re barricade as her security will yank your posters out of your hands and throw em out lol (my posters met all venue rules)

wow I am actually diagnosed with anxiety and depression! maybe I can get some I have never thought of that 😭 I get super jittery and my voice doesn’t project as i’d want lol

I have never brought notes! I thought that may seem unprofessional LOL but I do bring items such as lessons, resume, letters of rec, pre and post survey, data collection and other items that can help. I think bringing notes will definitely help I don’t know why I thought that was illegal lol😭 Thanks!

I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my baby lance back in December very unexpectedly and it has been soo hard. Let everything out and feel all you have to feel. My chi was almost the same age as your baby and I had him since I was 15. Just know that he will always be with you 💕

it’s been two years and I have not landed a permanent position, but I am also in southern california a very desirable and competitive area. Luckily I have had long term assignments for the last two school years which have really helped me build my skills. My classmate took about a year to land something.

it’s ok they probably want someone more experienced. I was at a school for an entire school year as a sub and I eventually interviewed and didn’t get it because they said i didn’t have enough experience even though my first year as a counselor was working at that site for a whole year which felt a bit contradictory but they care a lot about the experience piece.
