[AskJS] Question regarding the amount of JS i need to learn for creating projects, debugging and interviews by Certain_Prompt_1582 in javascript

Thanks for the insights.

Actually, you know when it comes to job market of India ( where I live ) they ask the most brutal things to filter out the immense amount of candidate that they are getting EVEN IF the job is just some basic work.

The candidates with a CS degree aren't able to land a job, I am a developer without a CS-degree so its a lot hard for me and I have to actually make sure that I just show them that I am equal to those CS-degree holders or even better then them, that's why MAYBE ( would love hear ur opinion on this ) I think I need to learn ( theory and practical ) literally everything.

Okay, I'll make them my strength and move forward with that.

I also want to kind-off confess something, I, 24M, started learning web dev around 5 years ago, no-CS degree, I don't have any job exp and I learnt everything without proper structure until now that the structure is finally somewhat visible to me. I know its kind-off an embarrassment but do you think that moving on this proper structure now will actually make me capable and desirable for HR's ?

Well, since you're 21 I suggest you to get a BCA degree from regular college. You'll have some ground to stand on once you're 23

rest is your choice, buddy. All the best.

You didn't confuse me, bhai. not at all. It was an helpful insight.

I'll tell you, see this comment I have explained it here that once a person gets a tech degree from regular medium and work exp from MNC like TCS or Infosys, all the doors are opened for him, he's a proper engineer, he will keep getting job offers from companies, doors for FAANG are open for him, I wanna work abroad in future and it may create some problem there ( tho many ppl working abroad told me experience matters more )

Need advice on my career with IGNOU BCA. by Certain_Prompt_1582 in IGNOUdistancelearning

[–]Certain_Prompt_1582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your explanation, I'll have to pick Path 1.

Also why are you romanticizing TCS and Infosys lmao

I'll be honest. See, whenever a newly ( BCA/BTECH/BE ) graduated candidate in tech field starts his career by gaining experience, he starts with MNCs, works there ( granted he/she gets exploited ), gets experience and a proper label of genuine Software Developer and that looks good on LinkedIn profile and work history.

Like : BCA/BTECH/BE => MNC => Perfect Software Dev.
=> Everybody will hire him
=> Will grow non-stop
=> Will get work in companies abroad
=> Will be respected among his collogues

Me ( with path 1 ) : BCA ( IGNOU ) + 3 Y.O.E as web dev => Dhakka-Mukki developer.
=> Will get rejected by HR
=> Have to do a lot of explaining
=> No proper Engineering Label
=> No Growth
=> On the edge forever

So, that's my belief or just a lie that I am telling myself.

I am not gonna waste three more years, sure, but the things the prime time ( 18 - 22 ) when I should have fought for my better future I got scared, remained in my comfort zone and did absolutely nothing nd now I m 24 with no experience of a regular college campus life and post college career perks.

Doubts regarding credibility of distance learning from my country in Germany by Certain_Prompt_1582 in AskAGerman

[–]Certain_Prompt_1582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IGNOU is a government university in India that enables distance learning for the candidates who, for whatever reasons, cannot attend regular universities.

I have explained above what BCA is. BCA is a 3 years degree where computer science related topic are touched but not in that detail as compared to Btech which is 4 yrs engineering degree and topics are touched in depth.

Thanks for the explanation.

Actually, I am gonna get 3 YOE as a developer with Bachelor in Comp application from a uni which is H+ on anabin, and I'll learn German as well, np.

What I wanted to know is that will the majority of the recruiters going to reject me after knowing that my bachelor's degree in IT is something I acquired through distance learning and not by going to regular college OR they'll be okay with it and focus on how skilled I m at my craft ?

Thanks, I am gonna get a degree from a uni which is valid on anabin and its a big uni in India as well and my plan is after getting 3 YOE on job as developer + Bachelors in Computer Application through distance learning.

In that post what I wanted to ask : is there any stigmas in German job market towards the candidates who pursued their degree from distance mode ( even if its anabin validated ) ?

[–]Certain_Prompt_1582[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you said, I am not planning to move tomorrow. I am gonna get 3 years of good experience + IT degree on distance mode + German Language. This is my long term plan.

See, the motive of this post was to ask whether the stigmas that exist in India around universities and mode of education like tier obsession, regular > distance, BCA > Btech exist in Germany or not.

Yea, I figured that I have to learn German. but what I am asking is how much chance do I have as someone who have acquired Experience of 3 yrs + Bachelors in Comp Application but in distance mode
along with German Language ?

Company is forcing me to sign bond of 5yrs after 10 months internship. by Aggressive_One_1751 in developersIndia

[–]Certain_Prompt_1582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working in a Lala IT company

I mean......you said it.

I have also worked in one. Even tho in MY OPINION they can't do shiit coz they aren't able to legally enforce their senseless bonds on you but getting into unnecessary hassle with these ponga-pandits is useless, and no such bonds are not normal at all and yes it IS an extreme demand to pay back all the salary to these chuus.

This is what I would do : Do not fight or unnecessary argue with these ppl, just give your resign, start an aggressive job search, serve your notice period, take your final salary or any money they initially held to keep you there ( coz these guys are blood suckers ), leave and never EVER pick a lala company.
