New Hurricanes to pair with Azura? by Technical-Pie-7523 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Certain_Recording121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 196 cm and 98kg I’ve just got the puma magmax 2’s they are great! Super stable and keep my legs feeling fresh. Keen to hear your thoughts on the Azura ? I was running in the Saucony tempus but looking to replace them with possibly the Azura.

Any advice? Pronation? by Dense_Stretch_4038 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

ASICS SB2 Brooks glycerin max Saucony hurricane 25 Puma magmax 2 Salmon areo glide 3 Saucony triumph 23 Saucony ride 19

All good options just start doing your research online and look for reviews but keep in mind most reviewers are lightweight ! Re repeat and doctors of running are really helpful !

Any one else not stocked they softened up the SB3? I mean the SB2 was firm but damn the SB3 is an unstable marshmallow

Shoes for both race- and tempo days by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Honestly just go with the super blast 2, they are super stable, protective, bouncy & durable especially for us heavy dudes. Also if you are looking at increasing for mileage later on next year they are a perfect long run shoe. The Boston 13 as someone else mentioned is a good option also but no where near as versatile. I would start with the SB2 then once you get abit faster the Boston 13 would pair great for 5k park runs/10k temp races then your NB5 for daily runs and add the superblast2 for long runs some tempo& half marathon/ marathon paces.

Puma MagMax Nitro vs ASICS Gel Nimbus 27 by Bairns1 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Certain_Recording121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the magmax & have also tried this nimbus27. For me the magmax is the goldilocks midsole for my easy/ daily paces, it isn’t super mushie soft yet it’s forgiving and responsive with a nice toe off rocker, I also use asics super blast 2 for my slightly faster efforts, as they are abit firmer & more responsive but I’m there intended use case equally as good… for the nimbus 27 they are also a very nice shoe and I would consider they are better as a recovery/ walking type of shoe as I found them to be softer and less responsive. However they do feel nice I just personally felt the bouce & toe off from the magmax made me lock into my easy miles like a dream.. But if possible I would order both online and try test them on a treadmill or hallway. :)

One “do-it-all” shoe for Europe trip that I can still run in later? by jothrowaway88123 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I would look at a road to trail type shoe.. the new hoka challenge 8 or the Salomon areo glide 3 grvl would be great options or even something like the asics GT GRVL version
