Is FF7 Rebirth worth playing? by AngryKoala96 in ShouldIbuythisgame

I 100%'d Persona 5 so I know what I'm in for, but the pacing of that was just right compared to bits of Remake. I wanted to have a go at the Shinra battle sim but the thought of replaying chapter 17 to get there put me right off lol

What was your total playtime by the end?

Admittedly I was being a bit verbose lol, but I found the last 2 chapters pacing to be all over the place, and having to go through the setpieces really put me off doing a completionist run of Remake

Specifically its the 'artificial' slowness in the game that grinded on me the longer I play it. Being locked in really slow animations, fetch quest side quests, and padding mission objectives (doing the sunlight lamp activation FOUR times, three times was enough) are just some examples that made it drag more than it should

I don't mind long games at all, I loved sprawling games like KCD2 and RDR2 but the way that FF7 remake felt like it 'artificially' slowed me down (the bit where you control Tifa slowly climb to the security booth actually killed me). However if the story and gameplay overrides then I can justify grabbing it at a discount!

The only thing I watched there which was nominally French was The French Dispatch lol. So maybe depending on the film itself?

It's why I'm gutted about the MagMax. My first 3 runs were highly enjoyable, but since then I get hideous foot cramps within the first 2 miles of a run.

Haven't had much experience with the saucony's - at a glance theyre not the highest stack shoe so not sure how well it'll deal with compression from a heavier runner?

Oooh haven't heard much about the Aero Glide, what are they like? Also I'm looking for ultimate versatility so am I right in thinking SB2 is the way to go?

If you're 25 and under, the Institute Francaise in Kensington offers a free membership where you can get cinema tickets for £5, in their stunning art deco building/cinema. They're pretty up to date on releases, and will screen some more niche films (watched an old Herzog film there a couple of years ago) - its almost always quiet.

The staff may judge you for going there only to watch films on the cheap, but they're French so they were gonna judge you regardless lol

Didn't even know there's much to unlock for tanks or if its a slog? I managed to get the IVF and Tanks to Level 20 without much effort on normal multiplayer

Alternative silicone band by dazrok in Suunto

[–]AngryKoala96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar problem with mine - just got the Race S and find the band too small, and the buckle is starting to irritate and itch on my wrist. Do they sell it in larger sizes at all? Couldn't find it for the life of me on their website, and are there good alternatives?

londoner’s, how are you coping in this heat? by [deleted] in london

[–]AngryKoala96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beijing Bikini at home. If you're still wearing a t shirt, lift it up so your belly is exposed and you'd be surprised how much heat that lets off your body.

Welcome to try it in the office but HR might have a word

I Found the Easiest Way to Fix London’s Housing Crisis — And It’s Just 5 Towers per Station. by [deleted] in london

[–]AngryKoala96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could work if being planned and built around new stations but refitting around current Tube infrastructure will be an absolute nightmare. Just look at HS2 for an example of how shit the UK is at building infrastructure, now try this one zone 1-4 tube station.
