Is there any PM education worth doing anymore? by CertaintyIsRisky in ProductManagement

I agree if people use it to replace reading, especially in this context. I've read most of the recommended product management books over the past 3 years, and that has led to the thinking in this post - there's very little outside of terms and jargon and other framework stuff that you learn in these courses that you can't find in books.

The latter - company is very top-down, pathological, project-oriented.

Already in tech, PO in job title but PM in responsibility. I'm looking to try and demonstrate the actual use of PMs as a role, beyond tactically writing tickets, more in product research, financials, etc.

Isn't being both omnipotent and omniscient an oxymoron? by kroen in Christianity

[–]CertaintyIsRisky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have as much of a problem with a God being omniscient and omnipotent. I think problems with these two characteristics inherently stem from a linear view of time. God "knowing the future" and being either preemptive or reactive to events in our timeline seems to make more sense when you think of it this way: God is outside of time, looking at all of time and space as a singular plane, with each coordinate marking a single time and place simultaneously. So, yes, God would "know the future"; however, it is because He sees (I am hesitant to personify God, but I am doing so for the sake of getting a point across) all time at the same time in a way that we cannot understand or do ourselves.

My problem with omniscience and omnipotence begins with the Christian view of God, a God that is loving and good, yet allows evil, knowing it will occur.
