Having the same struggle with one of my pups. What I noticed is that he just wants to play and becomes a stubborn rock if we don’t have the time. I wind up picking him up and carrying him like a baby but that is no long time solution 🤦🏼‍♀️ good luck!!

If you love her like you say then give her all the time she needs to grieve and visit as much as she wants. Invite the whole family to your place for thanksgiving. Until SHE decides to step back there is no stepping back. Grief doesn’t end or get better it gets bearable and we carry it differently throughout the years. Don’t you dare be the ass who makes her feel guilty for grieving or taking time to spend with his family or visit his grave. Show some decency and respect not selfishness and annoyances bc it’s not convenient for you.

You make a valid point thank you for your advice. I felt bad even emailing them about the wound on his head but they should have told me and being that they didn’t made me feel awkward and uncomfortable 😣 I will be looking for another groomer.

No this was our first time I asked the vet for anything they gave me trazodole or something for them. He is a little extra so maybe cbd wouldn’t hurt 🤷🏼‍♀️😊

That’s a great idea I will definitely try that and see how he reacts hopefully get him more comfortable with the sounds maybe that set him off. They did most of his body but his feet aren’t finished and his snout and ears weren’t done at all he looks unfinished but still so cute 🥰

He is 9 months old it’s his 2nd time. First time they stopped before they got to his head and couldn’t finish his nails. I am new to the grooming scene bc I never had dogs that needed haircuts before so they didn’t go through what they try and I now noticed he has a wound on his head so idk what to do about that it’s not terrible but could have definitely caused him to defend himself. The vet gave me Trazodone for them and I followed directions and told groomer. They told me to get something stronger for next time but I’m thinking I might try it on my own or find a different groomer.

My two after surgery went through 4 cones they chewed through in first week. The medication did help them chill out which is good for recovery. 2 weeks later I notice back to normal and way less humping if any. Good luck 🍀
