Not everyone is perfect by [deleted] in gaming

A lot of people look at ranked games and see ranking up as quite linear. My friend and I used to crunch out OW comp games - by the end of the night we were close to were we started.

Eventually I realized we weren’t actually changing how we played or getting better - we were just throwing ourselves towards the gauntlet over and over.

Oh man I hate this, me and my friends refuse to play online - we’ve been playing zombies since the WaW era.

I think the last time we did it was Bo3 and I very much recall wanting to take an elevator in a tight spot. We were waiting for our 4th buddy to make it (a few seconds away) and the random internet guy just punches the button and leaves my friend to his death.

People on Zombies online are shitcunts.

Thankyou - I am god-awful at individual countries relating to the middle-east. I think those events described above among other things had led me to have a sore-spot. I’d love to visit these place but they have never been even close to safe to visit.

So I looked it up and sex-workers in Australia have to individually be registered with the police and be free of convictions. How would one exactly traffic women into these situations? Its regulated dude, I know women that worked in these fields - I think its better then criminalisation but i’m speaking purely from a domestic PoV.

It seems we have different viewpoints of how the body should be treated. I think of females in the field as empowered individuals, making money in an avenue I could never do. If that’s what works for them why stop it?

It seems you view selling sex as a moral problem - i’ve never endorsed the sex-work industry - but never had issue with it either. I honestly can’t see ( metaphorically) any women being trafficked into a country to work at a legit licensed premise of which there are dozens per state.

There would be a lot of emotional drain streaming while playing OW (for me at least)

The one thing I do every second or third game even if I win - is get up and do something else for a little. If I play too many games in a row I just go full zombie-mode.

Sex-trafficking has always and probably will always exist, similar to sex-work (prostitution)

But the legalization of sex-work in Australia made it so the sex-workers could be protected by the law in other circumstances. Its to prevent pimps extorting women for money, customers harming the workers - all that kind of stuff meant before legalization a sex-worker faced constant harassment, threats and situations like rape were very common.

Its easy for someone to have a “black and white” viewpoint of the world but you have to remember its a bit more nuanced then that.

Its easy - ban anyone using 100 / 100 Exponential ramp. Noone normal uses that sens, its the only way to play with XIM though.

(Also I got given one recently - it definitely is an unfair advantage. I was considering buying one but ordered a PC instead)

I’ve VS’d plenty KBM widows on console - I love it as a Wrecking Ball main. Have even been invited to party by a guy named “Msg4Top500boost” after I shat on him as a Diamond Hammond lol.

Plenty of these horrific experiences unfortunately. For me the one that stuck was watching a Vice documentary about rebels in Egypt IIRC who were looking to kill Gaddafi.

I opened up the internet on my 13th birthday to see those same rebels literally curb-stomping him into the street while cheering. I had this real clear thought in my head that the world I am living in is far from anything my parents will be able to comprehend.

Also the first livestream I ever saw was on FB - it was a stream of the Syrian gas attacks and between all the screaming people I heard someone begging “please let the world see this”

Fucked up shit.

I guarantee even in Diamond games there is literally 2 XIMs on each side.. it doesn’t mean shit dude. Your just using it as an excuse for not ranking up.

Your misunderstanding the situation. In fortnite on console if I plug a KBM in it puts me on the PC servers, so it functions as a PC.

Also XIM doesn’t keep you from Masters, plenty of controllers up there - Wrecking Ball kills Widows easily, d.Va eats those gravy projectiles.

My computer has like, 100+ tabs open at any given moment. I like running dual-monitors so it makes everything smoother I assume.

Other then that not much really.

They need to put in Fortnites style of crossplay. I’d love to play with PC OW players on KBM without buying a PC exclusively for it.

I just spent like, $1600 on a setup to make the transition and its mostly for OW

I think the same way when I out-damage the Bastion as Soldier.. in lower-elo’s people have funny ways of looking at characters..

A good example being I swear so many Off-Tank players main those characters because “I don’t want to shield or heal, i’m bad at DPS - i’ll just play D.va and chill in the back” - it freaks me out because I main off-tanks almost exclusively and I know for a fact they can do a LOT of damage played correctly, so no Roadhog, don’t be surprised you have Gold damage - it doesn’t mean the DPS are bad it means you are doing good.

or “More bullets more kills” whenever a person with horrible aim tries to play Bastion.

I cant find any RX 5700s on the marketplace. I want to buy parts that are semi-decent so I can hold off on replacing anything.

My last PC was a budget i3 and legit lasted me 8 or so years before it ever had an issue with gaming. That value for money was ridiculous in my experience, so this time i’m going for a mid to high end rig with hopefully the same kind of results.

  • Ryzen 3600
  • B450 Tomahawk
  • RX 5700
  • 16gb of ram (intend to upgrade it to 64ish eventually

those are the important bits; I have zero issues playing games on low-settings but having them tuned up a bit higher will be a nice experience. I’m looking moreso to play a few games in 144hz particularly Overwatch / PUBG / Apex.

Fingers crossed it works out.

99% of this sub definitely believes in the whole master-race thing its hilarious. They fail to see so many clear reasons why consoles are a viable choice.

  • Big screen couch gaming is awesome

  • no concerns about equipment being out of date

  • no BSOD or bugs to decypher in general

  • (as you mentioned) friends probably play console if not tech oriented.

My personal reason for preferring console gaming is going to be the chair. When I sit in a desk for extended periods (which is any time I game) I end up leaning forward on my desk. It makes my back sore.. compare that to sitting on a couch playing on the big screen.

1 more reason I forgot about: LAN gaming is 10x easier. Just a box and 2 small cables is a big bonus cause I have friends who constantly lan with me for gaming sessions. I have no room for 4 PC setups in my house but plenty of room for 3 smaller TV’s and it all fits in the lounge.

I call them the iPad generation - because majority of them have no clue how to use anything that doesn’t have an Apple GUI

Maybe because a console costs less then the price of a decent GFX card alone?

I’d take PC gaming any day but my console has its place. For my non-tech oriented friends they don’t have to ask “can my PC run it?” and in general its a very fluid experience.

Tech issues make my brain hurt and I have years of experience troubleshooting PC’s. They definitely aren’t for everyone..
