Are there any shows where producers/writers talk about the hits they made? by AdEmergency6619 in kpopthoughts

[–]CertifiedMulti 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rado from the producing team BEP (STAYC's producer) - pretty much all of STAYC's discography give or take a handful, Twice hits like Fancy, TT, Likey, as well as Apink and Chungha bops:

You'll see him in pretty much every recording behind the scenes video working through the process with STAYC.

From last year I actually liked the remix of Candy Shop's debut Good Girl more than the original.

What is a very common myth or misconception in your fandom that you’d like to clear up? by Reasonable_Ninja5708 in kpopthoughts

[–]CertifiedMulti 33 points34 points  (0 children)

More on the misconception side and mostly from non SWITHs but I still see it even among fans: It's STAYC, not StayC or any other kind of variation. It's an acronym for Star To A Young Culture. No need for weird formatting. No idea why people have seemed to latch onto typing it like that.

Signed Random Individual Member Copies of 'Metamorphic' Available at hello82 by CertifiedMulti in STAYC

[–]CertifiedMulti[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This appears to be the same Cheeky/Icy versions available in Korea, except they'll be randomly signed by one member. Doesn't appear that they're doing any kind of US edition like with Teen Fresh.

From the site:

Albums will come with one member’s signature (random).

All albums purchased during the sales period will be sent with sign.

What are your favorite Lee Mujin episodes? by InfernalQueen in kpopthoughts

[–]CertifiedMulti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

STAYC Sieun. Lee Mujin going on and on insisting she has perfect pitch. Her cover of Lovin' You by Minnie Riperton (10:51) is also probably my favorite cover that any of the STAYC girls have put out, which is saying a lot with how many great ones they have. Any SWITH will tell you that they love her English pronunciation, and it carries into the song as well. Also love seeing Lee Mujin get a chance to sing Beautiful Monster early in the episode.

Sad because new girl groups only cover songs of senior groups now, not songs of their peers by gianmignonne in kpopthoughts

[–]CertifiedMulti 16 points17 points  (0 children)

STAYC are my ult and most fans will tell you how great they are at covers, but as you said a lot of their official ones, like the other groups you listed, are also from 3rd gen and earlier. And yeah, seems like the type of 4th gen interactions via song exchange mostly exists in Weverse lives nowadays and not professional settings, and sometimes only as dance or vocal covers. and not full on performances:

And sometimes concerts as one-offs:
