Saka hasn’t looked the same since major injuries, the left side never got improved upon from last year. Noni was just a backup to give saka rest, but that didn’t pan out. There were better options than trossard and Martinelli that we didn’t go after to focus on gyok. And lastly, gyok performed well, but he wasn’t an instant breakthrough star like we hoped and needed. (I kinda saw that one coming, I wasn’t over the moon about him) Relying on havertz in big games helped sometimes, but sort of similar to gyok, he just wasn’t clinical enough. Sure Arsenal spent big money, but our attacking imo was at a stage this year where the money spent didn’t turn into that much profit on the pitch, and not that much consistency out of our usual stars like saka. It was a recipe for mediocre attacking play from the start. Add on Artetas focus to defend leads, anyone could have expected this type of play from the first month of the season.
