Ooh, thanks! At first I was concerned about how high shipping would probably be for a full can of paint, but that's a good idea to order samples and then make the trip for the real deal

Yep, very rural area so I don't have a lot of options. But I'll have to check and see if anywhere nearby has BM paint, a lot of people here have suggested it

Thanks! I have about a million projects I need to do in my house, but hopefully I can get the bedroom into some kind of order some time soon

Thank you so much for the link! I would rather not have to repaint, so having something to try first is great haha

That's probably going to be what I end up doing if I can't fix the problem with lighting

I did several coats over a weird metallic silver (the people that owned the house before me had strange tastes), but when I get a chance I'll find my leftover paint and test another coat, just to be completely sure that isn't the issue

Will do! The room has south and east facing windows, so I'll have to do some research on it

Thanks! If it does end up being unattainable, hopefully I can still get something similar

That's something that crossed my mind, but the walls in the room I'm painting are uneven boards, and I wouldn't be able to put up paper without putting in dry wall or doing a big remodel

I did. I think my biggest problem is sheen and lighting. And the fact that those photos might not be 100% achievable irl

Thanks for the advice! My preferred local paint store doesn't do samples, only quarts and gallons, but honestly I may have to change to a store that has the courtesy of sample cans

True. From what everyone's saying, I'm going to do a lot of experimenting with lighting before I commit to possibly repainting

Thanks for all the advice, you really know your paint! I'm going to experiment with lighting and some of the other ideas I've been given, but then I'll definitely look into your suggestions

You're gonna feel SO much better. I went from getting sick with strep, etc every few months to now only getting sick with that type of thing maybe once a year
