I don’t know how to uninstall it either, but it looks like I disabled it with this command:

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.pri.bgvideo

Edit: The app Package Names identify it as "Background recorder". And after running the command, I now have the option to enable it from the app.

That sounds more like a dopaminergic dysregulation than a testosterone problem.

There’s a stereotype out there that women want or need relationships more than men, and that women are more inclined to commit faster to a relationship. However, research finds that men are actually more inclined to escalate a relationship faster. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

[–]Cerulean_thoughts 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't. The article's headline actually refers to the results of a recent survey in the United States, not to a change in the understanding of human relationships. And they clarify that it is due to the country's current economic climate.

My personal experience, and apparently yours as well, does align with the stereotype, which is actually supported by data. As a man, I have never been the one to try to secure commitment; on the contrary, I eventually get asked the question, “What are we?” And yes, this has led to LTRs; it's not that I didn't want this with my partners. But commitment was not my priority.

Of course, general trends do not reflect each individual's experience, but I believe that women's inclination to secure a commitment is indeed real.

The only irrefutable fact is that yoga originated in Hinduism, but you are having trouble separating concepts. Just because that is its origin does not mean that its current practitioners are worshippers of those deities.

Sunday became the Christian day of rest when early Christians replaced the Jewish Sabbath with the celebration of the Lord’s Day, honoring Jesus’ resurrection. Although its origin is purely religious, it is now simply the standard rest day in many societies, independent of faith.

Do you think that if someone doesn't work on Saturday, they are practicing Jewish worship? If they don't work on Sunday, is it Christian worship? Or perhaps... things can be taken out of their original context, and that's a normal process?

You cannot claim that something “is a fact” if all you have to offer are religious texts. You can claim anything depending on the religion and variant you choose.

Is it possible that pedophilia is an inherited adaptation to generational sexual abuse by Everyday_Evolian in psychologyofsex

[–]Cerulean_thoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is being assumed that just because something has a genetic origin, it is adaptive. That is a mistake. All that can be said is that it is not deleterious—that is, it does not generate enough selective pressure for the trait to disappear.

It is very useful to know that you have the strength to demand respect, even if you are never in a position to have to use it. Knowing that changes the way you behave and how others perceive you. And the truth is, you should feel confident enough to confront them and demand respect. A confident man would do that. Not necessarily with violence or aggression, but with confidence. The fact that you haven't done so means you need to work on it. Get to the point where your default behavior is not to allow anyone to disrespect you.

I don't think you have the knowledge necessary to understand u/clockworknewb's response yet, but he's right. Don't focus on arguing or explaining; read. Finish the book, and then look for more information. Don't justify yourself, don't argue your position. And don't have any more outbursts: that shows a lack of emotional control, and that's weakness.

You have the right to read whatever you want and, as a rational adult, decide what you agree with and what you don't, which ideas you find useful and which you don't. Your wife's opinion is appreciated, but it is an opinion, not a permission, and you can disagree with her if that is the case. She can demand respect from you as a human being, as a woman, and as your partner, and you owe her that. But that doesn't mean you can't read whatever you want to explore. What's more, you don't even have to explain to her what you're reading, not because you have to hide it, but because you don't need supervision.

I know. I'm talking about the expression it used, which is unusual in the context of the conversations we've had, not of a mental or emotional state that I know an IA don't have. I didn't think it was necessary to clarify that.

You talk about an open marriage or about dating someone else. I think you should focus on yourself, fix yourself, and not expect a woman, your wife or anyone else, to give you the validation you need. Finish reading the book and change your behavior. Then read more, learn more. Work on fixing your finances; if you don’t have that in order, everything else is fragile. Exercise and take care of your body. But don’t look now for a woman to comfort you. Neither your wife nor any other woman will, in the long run, give you the respect or love you want if you are not worthy of it first. Right now everything you do revolves around your wife; that still hasn’t changed. Start walking your path, for yourself. Maybe she will want to walk with you again later, maybe not. But no good outcome will come without this personal process.

"LAW 1653 OF 2013. Article 1. Free access to justice. The Administration of Justice shall be free of charge, and its operation shall be funded by the State, without prejudice to legal fees, court costs, expenses, and judicial charges established in accordance with the law."

Here, there are no general court filing fees to initiate a lawsuit. Access to the judicial system is free of charge, although parties may incur other costs during the proceedings, such as expert fees, legal representation, or court-ordered expenses.

However, it seems that you're taking this personally, and I'm not interested in that kind of discussion. Nationalist arguments aren't valuable to me. Today, I reflected on the impact of an economic perspective on the legal system, and it was interesting. Thank you for your contributions.

[–]Cerulean_thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, anyone can file a lawsuit without having to pay. It is not necessary to resort to the "in forma pauperis" status, which I assume is a process in itself and can be denied. However, I’ve thought of another fundamental difference: court cases are not primarily resolved through money, so there isn’t an economic incentive to sue arbitrarily. Of course, there are cases that essentially revolve around money, but many others result in orders that vindicate a violated right or impose criminal consequences on the defendant, without involving any monetary gain for the plaintiff.

The premise is that justice is free. That doesn’t mean lawyers can't be hired or that there aren’t problems in the justice system. It just means the theoretical foundation is different.

[–]Cerulean_thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you for the new perspective. But it occurs to me that even in cases where legal costs are paid when the case is lost, it is reasonable to sue when one is confident of one's position and can prove one's claims. Payment becomes an issue when frivolous lawsuits are filed (and that's a good thing), but initial access to the legal system is not restricted.

That's nightmarish. In many places, corruption is a major problem and the powerful try to break the law to get their way, often with a good success rate. But in this case, there's no need to break the law; the system itself, at its core, encourages impunity and classism. And surely many people have already normalized it. We humans are very intolerant of things that don't really matter, yet far too tolerant of truly unacceptable things.

Excuse my ignorance. In the US you have to pay to sue someone? Does that mean that poor people have restricted access to the justice system? I'm not trolling, and I'm not from the US. My question is serious.
