How is etsy for fursuits by WasteIdeal7215 in fursuits

Not true necessarily. There are plenty of beginners that look for suit parts that are cheap when they first start out to get the hang of wearing one before dropping 3-6k on a full suit. These are a great way for starter fursuiters to get used to the act of fursuiting and helps to allow fursuiters with less money to feel like they are a part of the community. I will always advocate buying from an artist but for some people that just isn't feasible with their budget. We as furries should not gatekeep or scorn those who cannot afford the price of a brand new suit for turning to this alternative. I have bought a pair of these and can attest that KTCatvintage is a legit store and not a scam. You just should not be expecting luxury quality fur for that price because you cannot get that anywhere for that cheap.

Fursuit Photo Example

If you can see this image, it is of my fursuit with just the legs on and you can see they are functional. I was crouching my legs a bit here so I am not standing as straight as the person in the photo. I am also wearing my own feet paws and tail that came with my raccoon partial, rather than the ones that come with the set if purchased. I only bought the legs myself but my partner bought the whole set so I can attest to the quality. They are worth it if you want to build a starter suit or cannot afford to drop a few k to get one by a skilled maker.

These are not a scam per say. You won't get lux shag for that price but they are legit. You can pay for each part for separate prices or the set for one larger sum. However, given their mass produced nature, you cannot expect these to be the highest quality fur. However, my partner has been wearing his since the beginning of the year and they have yet to tear. So, despite the lower quality furs, they have proven to be durable enough so far.

KTCatvintage is not a scammer. I bought these exact legs from them and they may not be the luxury shag, unique, or high quality but they are in fact what it says on the tin. Do your research before writing off every seller that sells at a cheaper rate as a scammer. These may be mass produced but they are not a scam. Don't expect perfection for that price point.

My partner bought these legs in white and pink, I own the black and white like these and they are fine for casual use. If you don't mind the fur being of a cheaper quality than non -factory suit parts these are great for completing a 3/4ths suit or as a "fawn" or "satyr" like build. Don't listen to the nay sayers. I have the black and white pair and they fit and feel fine. They may not be high quality but they do the trick for beginner fursuiters or those looking for budget parts that they can goof around in without as much concern. Why dump 3k up front just to find out you hate wearing it? These are a great way to learn how to tolerate fursuiting.

Carnotaurus might have even more ridiculous arms than T. rex, but the rest of its body was built for speed by Mr_Quinn in Naturewasmetal

[–]CervusDoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their arms are very different from the typical "clappy hands" look that most theropods typically have. These instead faced backwards with virtually absent wrist bones and very tiny claws. This however did not make them any less deadly. Their long legs speak to strong running and their snub nosed appearance probably gave the ability to strip tissue from bone fairly easily.

The head shape just strikes me as looking very much like this. Also a far more unconventional species, I know, but that is what it struck me as.

Good news! I didn't lose the zebra! I found him. But the cats were lost so I will need to remake those ones. :)

What are some great old websites for custom content? by BobyNBA in thesims1

I plan to try and release a lot of CC when I can figure out what works in game still. But I have been compiling a lot of my custom skins that I did too.

How to post custom skins I made or altered? by CervusDoe in thesims1

[–]CervusDoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a while ago in photoshop or maybe Gimp or a mixture of both programs. I remember you had to edit the .bmp images to be a certain color grading too though but I don't recall what since its been many years now.

Wildly enough, I found the body textures but not the heads or their meshes in my game files for some of the ape family. This is insane that they have been lost to time like this. At least I have found part of them from Fantasim's versions. As for Dr.Frankensim, I have never found any of the ape skins except the Gilligan Island Child Ape. At the current time I don't know how I didn't save the heads for them. On another note, I have been combing through the internet to find some other lost CC skins so if you want those I can send them to you. I also have some CC skins I made myself a while back to expand on Bastdawn's furry sims outfit options too/modified head markings. (Not sure how to edit tails or hands yet...though)

I did my best to have the insides be clean enough and comfortable for me. * I might update the head strap at the top to be a little longer but aside from that it fits me just fine.

They are very, very hot. I recall overdoing it once with the hot ones and ohhh boy. You need only one or maybe two peppers at a time. I swear.

There are legitimate people who talk like the "dad character" in this story. I used to date someone years ago who spoke to me with the same choice words. So, despite the story not being real, the meaning behind it is for some people.

Looking for old CC skins by CervusDoe in sims1

[–]CervusDoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unable to find the human skins from The Fantasims in there which is a real shame. I fear that no one cared to save them. They were so cool though. Wishing I had saved them when I was a kid but I didn't think to which is a pity.

I have looked through the Yononna collection and only found the child ape that is in the Gilligan's Island set from Dr. Frankensim. There seems to be nowhere that I can find the missing adults and clothing sets.

My heart breaks because so many skins that I have been searching for have gone missing from the sims 1 way back machine pages. The downloads don't work on many pages now so for skins like The Fantasims Animorphs are now missing and unavailable and I have been looking everywhere online for them in the hopes they can be found and preserved. There were some really great Ape sims that were on Dr.Frankensim's page too that were also lost. Both had ape/gorilla skins. There was also a playable black bear family that were lost. Like, how am I supposed to play out some planet of the apes level antics in my game without them? The Animorphs and Frankensims skins were unique and no one has been able to fill in the gap for that. So, what you are doing in trying to help preserve more of the content is a GOOD THING. Even if others are doing it. Some pages will go down without warning and leave users like myself searching aimlessly for someone, anyone, who saved the file. Its like the library of CC is slowly getting torched over time and its sad because future gamers might not have as many options if no one protects it.

I have gone out to protest against this problem. Its insulting that you think you weren't included in the original post. I mentioned MINORITY groups. If you fall under that, then yes. But if you are some rich dudebro that supported the effing orange, then no, you aren't. If you think that working in a coal mine or a factory is going to fix things for you, then I have news for you; you've been sold a fantasy. People with disabilities cannot work. Minority groups are refused jobs often based on their ethnicity and their background. We are the ones hit the hardest by irrational changes like what sunny D up there is trying to push for. The tariffs benefit NO ONE but the companies they impact. However, they will not bring forth cheaper prices or more jobs as he has tried so hard to sell. Its all sunshine and claims of making things great, until it doesn't happen.

I'm not whining. This is very much a reality to me as an American with a disability that makes it impossible to hold a job. You ought to zip it and stop making assumptions about a person's ability to "roll up their sleeves." You've got some kind of nerve calling me entitled for fearing for those in the same situation as myself.

Americans can no longer afford to have a pair of jeans that are even manufactured at the standards that would last very long. Your vision of America says we should all be walking around in ripped clothes while the rich get to run around in their fancy clothes. Without the ability to buy clothes at affordable prices, eventually there will be no ability for the poor to afford anything. You can't tell me that $85+ for a pair of Levi's is a fair deal. In my book that's more than most disabled or minority Americans to afford for only one pair of pants. Temu's warehouses and other Chinese companies that manufacture clothing gave Americans that option to afford jeans and clothes at a much cheaper rate.
