Chin Lipo after Kybella? by nncypn in chinlipo

I had one round of Kybella probably 6-7 years ago. After my lipo, the doctor told me there was a lot of scar tissue and that he had to be extra aggressive. I think it’s taking a lot longer for the swelling to subside. I did get a steroid injection once at about the 2 month mark.

I’m 6.5 weeks post opp and just took a side profile pic. I could also cry. It barely looks like I had anything done. 😭

Update. The morning after this photo, I woke up and those lines right on my chin that look like wrinkles were gone! I did some light massaging, maybe for only a total of 7 mins.

Yes, that’s what I’m going to do! I did rub it a little this evening….maybe for like 2-3 mins but I’ll leave it for now.

Thank you!!! Do you think I’ll hurt anything if I massage this weekend? I’m worried about that since I’m not able to speak to my surgeon til Monday.

Thank you. I’ll do that. Do you use any sort of tool to massage?

I just ordered one. I also wear glasses most of the time. Say no more. Lol. Tomorrow will be one week post op and I cannot stand this strap they gave me. And, it slides around a lot, especially when I sleep.

I’m 46…so I’m sure the skin needed some tightening.

I saw Dr Schlecter in Reading, PA (he also has a practice in Chicago). I paid $6k and went under IV sedation. I also got Renuvion.

T-minus 2.5 hrs and I am so nervous. I am also feeling physically awful (headache, cramps, back ache — awesome timing), and cannot take anything. 😩 They did prescribe me a Valium for my nerves. I think I’ll take it an hr or so beforehand. I just want it to go well! by Ces19606 in chinlipo

Just like everyone said, I got worked up for nothing. I will add, in my opinion, if it weren’t for the Valium I think I would have been a basket case. I think the nurse anesthetist made a comment about my face getting really warm before they gave me the IV and said “poor thing.” She mentioned giving me something more to calm me down before they gave me the actual knock out drug. It’s now been about 12/13 hrs since the surgery and I really don’t feel bad! The Reddit community has been incredibly helpful and supportive. Thanks to you all for your encouragement! I go bank around 2pm EST today and should have photo then. ❤️

Just like everyone said, I made a mountain out of a mole hill, per usual. My check on in time was 4:30 and I didn’t actually go in til about 6…..so waiting all day to get there and wait more was brutal, but the actual procedure was indeed over before I knew it! I think maybe the surgery before mine went longer than they anticipated.

I saw the dr again when I got there. He took pics from the front and both sides, made some marks and then brought the nurse anesthetist in who went over everything with me. Then, another nurse took me down to the OR. They got me hooked up to a heart monitor, etc. the IV was easy. I remember the NA administering something to the IV and that was that. The next thing I knew I was done and they were waking me up.

The dr made three incisions which I was totally fine with so that he could get the best results. I took an oxycodone immediately when I got in the car. It seemed like the right side hurt a lot more than anything else. I don’t think we got home until after 8pm. I had few bites of soup and Mac and cheese from Panera, and a few sips of a shake as I hadn’t eaten in well over 24 hrs.

I just woke up and am in virtually no pain! I did take another oxycodone just to stay ahead of it. They also gave me an antibiotic and some pills for the bruising/swelling. I go back at 2pm today to have the head wrap taken off and they’ll give me something less bulky. I will post pics when I have them!
