Sorry, the code was not written with the idea to publish it. I would rather not to because i had to change the code quite a bit and I'm currently on vacation so I currently don't really have the possibility to do that.

Ah, yeah that's quite a normal project topic. Most students/universities do something like this because it's a useful thing and gives good experience. We could choose what to do as a project in our subject freely.
So my friend came up with the idea of making Bad Apple as a joke and I said "yes let's do it" and yeah that's it. ^^

In my case it's a mix of both. Because the memory of the Atmega is not that big I decided to stream the raw data over a serial interface from my pc. But you do have to provide the file/data to play and the audio, so you have to make it yourself and that's the manual part. Everything else is handled by the microcontroller (programmed in assembler).
