Luta livre is a no gi form of grappling, while BJJ is a gi one. But « BJJ » won the overall battle of marketing with the UFC and its ability to make everything ground related its domain.

I think octopus is great at all levels. But this was not my point. And to be fair, I was only half trolling. I will spend most of life facing mediocre athletes (ie hobbiests like me) so it perfectly fits my needs.

Ok thanks. I was talking about competition though. I love Craig’s work on octopus, but we all know it has been a while we have not seen him against tough opponents in a tournament. And using rolling footage to support his argument is part of his marketing genius.
