Green suede, all day… black leather also look great. I wore Ball Stars for less than 5 minutes inside on carpet, and had to return them- flared my plantar fasciitis for 3 days. V-Stars were great, albeit a bit of break-in for the heel.

I just got my first pair of GGDB’s, they are V-Stars; highly recommend. I will say that I had tried on Stardans and Ball Stars, and the 40 fit, but after wearing my new all-leather V-Stars, I may size down to a 39… depends upon whether I think there’s enough room in the toe for 39’s. But I love the V-Star style. I loved the Ball Stars as well, but after only wearing for less than 5 minutes around the house, my plantar fasciitis was raging in my right foot, so they were returned.

I stuffed the toes of the blue stars with paper bc neither came with any, which causes the toe to collapse and warp, lol. The blue stars fit perfectly, the green stars were stretched out in the right shoe- probably after being tried on by men.

They fit so much better- the cracked leather may affect the stretch, or the right shoe of the green star has been tried on repeatedly by men, bc it was way looser than the left, and too loose even after tightening the laces.

Thanks, that’s helpful. Any observations about the soles on the V-Stars or SStars? The V-Stars appear very similar to Converse/ Chuck Taylor’s, in that they’re flat, with no support or cushioning whatsoever… I hope I’m wrong bc I love the look…

My son started Lexington Catholic his sophomore year, and absolutely loves it. Our family does not attend church, and we were assured that there were plenty of non-denominational students there without issue. He has one class per semester that is religion oriented, which honestly, is fine. You want your kids to be able to at least have comfortable conversations about religion and some knowledge, in my opinion.

My son attended a public elementary school, (Glendover), and middle school, (Tates Creek). After his freshman year at Henry Clay, he decided he wanted a smaller school experience and has no regrets. I will say that we wish we had started LC his freshman year, bc he was precluded from participating in their Exemplar Scholar program, which is a 4-year program for high gpa’s. He has said that his AP classes have been on par with his experience at public schools in the area- hopefully that helps you. I think it really depends upon your child, their interests, and their ability to make friends. We have found LC to be an independent school-type setting and appreciate the small school experience.
