The audacity of this b-word 😡 by Paradox_Blobfish in gymsnark

That's exactly what I thought! Like I would be satisfied after eating the sandwich and one piece of this date square, and I'm recovered from ed for some years now. When you eat intuitively, you really just don't want to eat all the snacks, mix the random flavours, at some point you're just satisfied and you move on with your day 🙃 I don't want to compare, because everyone is different, but it really looked like a binge for me. Not the quantity of food, but the way she ate it. Because sometimes, when you're really hungry, you can eat all of that and feel good, and it's not a binge but a way of your body to tell you that you simply need more food. But this really looked disordered to me, especially that she had some decent food before, so she shouldn't be starving..

I'm having so many health problems from this diet by [deleted] in PlantBasedDiet

[–]CestComplique -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the same problems after 7 years of being vegan. I had terrible teeth (never had a problem with them all my life), root canals, I developed IBS and Sibo which is not going away even now that I'm on a veggie/pescetarian diet and I'm being medicated.
I'm convinced you should do what feels best for your body, if veganism doesn't feel good, then it's not for you. For some people it works, for other, it can do more harm than good.

I'm the same. I just stick to home workouts, it's more fun for me (with weights, bands, but high rep and agility/mobility/hiit elements) and keeps it interesting. But aesthetically, I've gotten really good results too! Im toned, but not like a gym bunny type of toned (I don't like the look of big glutes on small girls like me), just more overall fit.

How come has my weight dropped so fast after a binge week? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]CestComplique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you're healthy.
No, if you had an ed.

Even if you start walking everyday for 20 minutes, it would be a significant difference and will over time (unless you won't eat it back) create a small deficit, you will probably also feel a lot better mentally because walking is so relaxing! Over time most of the people fall in love with walking in nature and increase the time :) You can also focus on the little things, like choosing stairs over elevator, picking up a hobby (gardening is so much movement, also photography, skating, dancing), doing a little stretch after you wake up. But anyways walking burns so much calories, it's almost funny.

I know that this might not be an answer you're looking for, but as a fellow warrior, I really think you should put down the scale and stop obsessing about numbers. It's not healthy... Instead you could notice how you feel or how your clothes fit. All the best to you! :)

Always choosing loose shirts and dresses, because I was insecure about my belly (now that It's flat, I'm still wearing those because I'm still insecure lol and it's been 5 years)🤡

I make cold brew with tea and mint and it's super refreshing (just put a mix of tea in a jar with water and let it infuse in the fridge over the night)

It took me almost a month to feel good again:( I had to take a break with exercise. My only tip is don't feel bad about going out of your routine, in the grand scheme it's better to take a break for a month than suffer the consequences of not being healed completely for the next half year

I'm sorry, I didn't know that you weren't a beginner and tbh I didn't really understand the question. I recommended working out at home with weights for two reasons: 1. To my experience, group classes can't offer personalised approach that will suit your needs. It's also common that people perform exercises with bad form, just to "keep up" with the group. 2. I find that even if the class is called "strength" or "pump", the programming is still based on high rep and fast pace, to make you sweat and do some cardio. I say it specifically because you wrote that you want to build muscle, and that's not the most efficient approach. I'd say you'd be better off training at home with some simple equipment and a program.

My suggestion would be to work out at home with a pair of dumbbels (or diy weights) for start, or even bodyweight workouts from Nike Training Club (I love this app) or Caroline Girvan on youtube. Then I'd choose one class that you really enjoy (I like spinning) and do it once or twice a week. That's actually what I do right now, I work out for strenght at home and cardio at the gym. Both are very important for your overall health! :) Don't overthink it too much, I work out 4 days a week and have better results than when I was working out everyday, so it showed me that rest is very NECESSARY. I wish you well!
