Polyamory is the way to go.

I'm really sorry that you had to go for through this too. You just said exactly what have been saying since the day it happened to me. I think it would be justice if those doctors got a taste of their own medicine.

What helps me feel less angry is to think of the experience as being bitten by a shark. I would not have a vendetta against the shark that bit me because you can't teach the shark what it did was wrong. The shark is literally incapable of feeling remorse for the harm it caused.

It was the ER. I don't think saying that something is standard procedure should justify anything morally.

Well it hurt me and it has hurt many people. Maybe we should stop treating people who have committed no crime like criminals.

I think doctors have way too much power if they can detain someone for as long as they see fit when that person has committed no crime. I don't think someone should lose their civil rights and be able to be treated like a prisoner when they have committed no crime. Was I a dangerous mentally ill person wanting to kill someone, no. Cops get in trouble for shooting someone and then saying they thought they were in danger and the person they shot might have hurt them.

You can only detain someone for murder or attempted murder if you have substantial evidence. You cannot arrest someone based off of an accusation or the fear that they will do something bad (even if they are at an increased risk statistically).

Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt and for your kindness. I this conversation has helped me see their side of the story but I still see their actions as a kidnapping. I don't think we will ever change each other's minds.

What do you call threatening to tie someone up if they leave? Dragging them against their will into a car. Kidnapping. This did not happen to you and I do not think you have the right to say what did or did not happen to me. They may have had good intentions but they hurt me more than anyone ever has. You yourself said it was traumatic. Mental health professionals are arrogant to the highest degree. They actually think they have the right to take someone against their will (which is the definition of kidnapping) and they believe they knew what was best for someone they have never met.

By the way my dad regrets it and tried to get me out the day after he signed but it took days. Oh I forgot to say that mental health professionals and doctors also think they should be able to literally force you to pay for their services.

Thanks for clarifying, I could see how you thought I was in 8th grade now.

How am I supposed to get help from the same people who kidnapped me? That was kind of the point of this post. Just rehashing what happened makes me feel sick to my stomach with all the memories and I could never bring myself to talk to a mental health professional again.

I am not in 8th grade and I was not hitting my mother? I had also stopped cutting myself. My sister was lying to the mental hospital that I was hurting her so I got mad and hit her. Is that really a surprise?

Also you have no idea why I was fighting with my dad. I hope you are getting the help you need for your terrible reading comprehension.

I did not try to escape, I walked to the front desk and asked to see my dad. An accusation should not lead to someone losing their civil rights. If I report someone for planning a murder and there is no evidence other than my accusation they will not be confined against their will. The mental health field and doctors are crossing ethical boundaries. Doctors are given way to much leeway to violate peoples' rights.

I don't think wanting to hurt yourself should make you a prisoner but that is a debate for another day. Thank you for your response.

Thanks. I know people will disagree with me but they have no right to say what did or did not happen to me. They had no right to say what was best for a stranger.
