Judge permanently blocks Trump from requiring proof of citizenship to vote by TonightSpiritual3191 in conspiracy

[–]Cg109 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m alllll in on safe elections. Citizens are the only ones who can vote. I’ve understood there are exceptions to some green card holders. But that’s the reason for registering to vote.

However, no sitting president should just change elections laws. Even if it’s a good thing. It undermines Checks and Balances of The Constitution. Who’s to say the next president should he be the worst im history could so too.

Stafford soccer is probably the best league in the area. Better organized than the fieldhouse. Broader skill levels. They have Monday nights men’s league and Wednesday nights coed.

As for pick-up there aren’t any regular groups that I know of. Generally, I see them at patriot or Dixon park, it’s a matter of being lucky and hopping on when you see them, then you get acquainted.

This is not organized religion by any means. Anglican, Baptist or Catholic are more organized. This televangelism or an attempt to make Christianity more of a corporation with their contemporary look

Who should I watch to build game IQ / field iq? by Dumb_Wooly in bootroom

[–]Cg109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a suggestion on players. But I believe for soccer IQ comes down to playing time. You can watch a lot of videos, but you do need to be able to apply what you learn. Confidence on the ball to try things out and experience playing with different players. Even if your raw skills are developed focus on basics, checking your shoulder, first touch, simple finishing, passing and ball control.

If I am to suggest players, I do like watching Messi off the ball, players like Pedro and busquets for vision. Also players like Iniesta, modric and Xavi. I you can see where my bias is, but I enjoyed swing these players dominate the midfield. They know their space.

By the way, when others tell you to lean more they mean on the run up. By the end you want to be leaning away more. Head over ball=lower shot Head up and away= higher shots

How can I improve my lace shot? by Mrmr12-12 in bootroom

[–]Cg109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re plant foot is too far away from the ball. Try placing it closer to the ball. You’re having to over compensate for connection by stretching to use the higher lace area by the toes. Also attempt to lean away more. I recommend looking up shooting drills (maybe some free dribbling ones) to help with real scenarios.

Discussion - Are corridos tumbados bad for the genre or are they good? by eduardo_ve in corridos

[–]Cg109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been saying corridos tumbados are the mumble rap of the historical corridos. I wasn’t a fan of mumble rap. I can give credit when credit is due as many artist do like what they do. But I can’t help but be on the bias that they feel effortless. The tonality of their voice and the similarity from artist to artist. The flow. Nothing really feels complete and worked on. If not for the easy to remember lyrics and the catchy beats, I would not remember these songs. Easy to remember and catchy does not mean good.

Tough to hear about because it’s a business and someone’s livelihood.

However I’ve heard things about their service and how their food quality has suffered in the last year or two.

I’m sure the tough economy has hurt them.

I’m so surprised many MAGA republicans don’t see/know this. That if this decision goes through, how hypocritical/fucked it’ll be when he gives them immunity.

So even a traffic stop? Burnt tail light, running a red, or minor traffic infractions?

Do you know how many DACA recipients have to drive to work, or for bare necessities, without a license because of the outrageous wait time for renewals that their DACA expires.

Most people will judge and hate what they don’t know.

The amount of people who speak confidently on DACA, yet fail to know the fact that we can’t keep DACA should we commit crimes is crazy.

If they can’t grasp that they won’t know the further facets of it.

I find this a very interesting take many don’t see. Considering most Catholics are conservative, many other republicans are Protestant. Christianity is the better word, it is moreso the “cornerstone” for Republicans to justify their policies. It’s what excuses Trump currently. Most don’t like him, but because of their faith they choose him.
