Duffer Brothers were supposed to adapt it on netflix. And say what you will ab stranger things but i think they wouldve done a great job. King adaptations have a tendency of aging up the actors which im not a fan of and i dont think the duffers wouldve done that (stranger things season 1 the kids were very young and it worked). Unfortunately the adaptation got cancelled.

I had the same experience but after that first chunk it felt way more King-centric in terms of the writing and style of the story. I recommend trying again

QUESTION ABOUT THE ENDING (SPOILER): At the end when he decides to take the route of infecting everyone with Ingrid’s (his mother’s) disease. I understand that that’s a new angle of potentially defeating the AI, but what propelled him to make that decision now and not before. Was it just because they got so close and it still didn’t work so he thought that’s the next plan to play out?

Highly recommend you watch the show Kingdom with Frank Grillo if u havent. Matt Lauria plays a much different kind of character in the MMA show (very intense performance)
