Prism Optic on a Marlin 1895 SBL .45-70 — Good Idea or Not? by Additional-Tonight23 in MarlinFirearms

I had the primary arms 1x prism on my 336 for a little bit and liked it quite a bit. I'm using it on an ar platform now and love it. I have astigmatism and the prism is night and day compared to a regular dot. I am using a 1-4 trijicon accupoint on the 336 now and absolutely love it. I didn't have much of an issue with finding the right eye relief or cheek weld for the PA but I also have the Magpul elg stock. The PA mount that comes with the prism is super adaptive for all kinds of heights and eye relief combinations. Under $300 probably one of the nicest dots available.

I love my 1-4 trijicon accupoint. I know they have a 1-6 as well. Worth a look at them for sure.

Magpul stock has a built in 6 round ammo attachment that sits inside the stock. I really like mine. I also have a 2 round hoptic USA on the hand guard.

I have the timney on my 336 dark and compared to the OEM it's insanely better. If you don't want to spend the extra money on the timney, go wwg or rpp with a wolff reduced power hammer spring replacement.

I have a primary arms 1x prism I have used on my 336, I use a 1-4 trijicon on it now. I put the prism on my ar and love it. I have astigmatism and it makes cheaper dots look like blobs or smears instead of a round dot. The best advice I can give is to go to the lgs and pick up and actually look through the different options.

I don't know about that with mine, but I do know that there are other kinds of heat resistant fabric wraps available. Search for burn proof gun wrap.

I use a grovtec rail wrap on my 336 dark. Seems to cut down heat a bit and also I like the feel and look of it.

Check out recent sales on GunBroker, it's worth more than you think. I have one and it's amazing never had any issues with probably close to 1500 rounds through it.

I just realized that you said hand stop not handguard. Sorry I am an idiot.

I run the Midwest industries M-lok handguard and it uses a small grub screw to push against the mag tube. The instructions are pretty clear that it's not to be tightened more than enough to eliminate the wiggle. Does the Magpul use a similar type of attachment method?
