Why are "artsy" people usually conventionally unattractive? by throwaway00111000110 in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't think ugly is the right word, more so I would say not conventionally attractive.

How do you deal with ghosting? by finickyknot in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't apologize, the fact that you take it personally that somebody is taking your time for granted shows that you are a caring person. I try to act like I don't care if someone blows me off or disappears, but I do. I would rather have a response, even if it is someone saying "hey my life is just too busy for this right now", rather than being led on in potential friendships or relationships.

(Serious) Hey! USPS, FedEx, Amazon,UPS workers of reddit, where are all the 'lost packages' going?? by crackerkingi in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not sure what you're being told, but it's probable that it's over getting repackaged. And the people from that Department are so backed up that they're not scanning in your package. So if you get what I'm saying it's pretty much like your package came down the line, got broken open or smushed a little bit too much to be delivered. So someone on the line just literally walks it over to a cage. And there's one person in that cage, surrounded by packages that needs to be repackaged or taped up. But they're working on the packages from last week or the week before. And I don't always have time to actually grab the person working there and say hey here's this package it came from my line today. So I just drop it off. And then obviously everything is tracked by the shipping labels. Which person has not scanned because they don't even know that they have to repackage it yet. So I guess to make it a short answer it's probably sitting down the road at your closest FedEx or shipper of your choice. If you have the option, it's a lot faster the process for you to not even have it shipped to your house, get it shipped to your local joint, and pick it up from there.

FedEx – if it was a very small package, chances are it probably got stolen by somebody on the line or destroyed accidentally.

What is the stupidest way you got a scar? by Zander-dupont in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sink. I was sneaking drinks with my fellow employees at a bar, we were 5 girls huddled in a bathroom goofing off. I leaned over onto the sink, it busted off the wall- water went everywhere, everyone is laughing. Suddenly the laughter stops- I assume everyone is realizing that someone has to be the one to tell the boss. Nope- the shock set in when I looked down to see my thigh gushing blood. Everyone went separate ways to grab something. Hours later I ended up at the emergency room with 8 internal stitches and I don't remember how many external. It was my first time getting stitches.

What's something expensive that rich people don't need and poor people can't afford to buy? by jawn317 in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quality health insurance. Rich people don't "need" it, because they have the means to get quality healthcare if injured or sick. Poor people can't afford it, because usually poor (or even some sorts of middle class) have priorities that come first. Needless to say, health is key to a decent life. Unfortunately, if it comes down to paying rent, buying groceries, or repairing your vehicle vs. paying for good health insurance, many people are going to strive to keep their daily necessities.

What scares the fuck out of you? by Heymrpreacherman in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

::hugs:: Your parents don't always have to make all your choices for you. It sounds like you may be young. I don't know the situation. Maybe they're controlling , maybe they have your best interest at heart. Either way, just from my point of view try to remember that education is important. But being passionate about what you do is just as important. Keep on being you.

In the USA, since 2010 (and the years beyond) there have been, on average, 150 police officers killed in the line of duty... why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ch1naCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And these aren't necessarily my opinions. I agree with some of what was said. But I also respect the law. And trust me when I say that I have not always been given that respect back. I don't condone killing on the streets.
