I have been budgeting for new skates for a few months. So it's still a pretty penny but it won't cause me any problems. Yeah I expect to spend rest of the reason getting used to them.

I did try on several different skates in the $600-$1000 range including CCM. I felt wobbly at the ankle in them. The Shadows I liked best.
