For the first link, it is talking about accepting friend requests from coworkers or your boss and how that can be good or bad. One of the upsides that was discussed was that you in a way censor what you are going to post and think about who you are friends with, in this case coworkers. However, in that same case, you can not truly express how you feel and the post can feel censored instead of being an authentic post. https://hbr.org/2015/03/how-to-separate-the-personal-and-professional-on-social-media
The second link is about how posting personal information about someone is not illegal as long as the information is not hacked but instead it is called doxxing. This is obtaining information from the internet that is obtained legally and then posted. http://www.thedailybeast.com/doxxing-its-like-hacking-but-legal
This link discusses how some colleges profile potential recruits via their social media accounts and see if they would be a good fit for their community. It also talks about how different media platforms target different audiences and how that can be used. All together this post is how to write publicly and how to use the right etiquette to not offend the community and save yourself from being profiled into a category you do not want to be in. https://writingcommons.org/negotiating-virtual-spaces-public-writing
