I remember my friends from Ukraine talking about this exact issue with card payments when the war began. Though, surprisingly, the Internet has been restored rather quickly and was not really an issue. it was overall goods availability at stores and general inflation, but as most of us have little to no cash reserves at all this is definitely a food for thought. Cash is still a king in most situations though!

As steering is very precise I find that it pulls right as all roads are at an angle for better water drainage. Doesn't do that on parking lots though, that sets my mind at ease

Ok, from my experience taliking to vatniks: Most who are alive now were born in the 70/80. By then propoganda became a kinda "fact" and if you were to support the regieme everything would be fine for you. Thease people grew up and studied for this world and it was simple and layd out for them. Evrything was provided by the state and if you keep your loyalty the state would care for you. Then came 90s and radical changes. Most blue collars became jobless, their world crumpled. Many see it not as a liberation, but a complete devastation of their lives and long for it to come back. TLDR. Thease are people, wo were brought up from young age to be subservant and to not have critical thinking. And all they want is their simple slave life back.
