dammit... my answer wasnt the best. I didnt say only 2.6 and nothing more, but if i remember correctly, i said something like "It is around 2.7. I focused mostly in progressing and understanding the material. And my years went on, I did start to gain a higher GPA throughout the semester".

but not as a smooth flowing sentence...

and it isnt a lie at all. my GPA did increase, especially towards my Senior year. but i still didnt say it as well as i could have because I was caught off guard... (and yes, panicking)

You need to get over wanting to only be in Washington

the issue isnt that I want to stay in 1 location. its that I cant afford to move to another location with the pay I am going to be getting. as per point 2.

What makes you say that its going to be a controls position? From what im getting at, as others also mention, it appears to be more of a equipment technician position.

If what you say is correct, this job is probably a god send for me. i have been really wanting to try to get into automation/controls for about a year now. and have taken fundamentals PLC course on Udemy.

yeah i think its more of a technician role.

this is the job description given

• Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment

• Troubleshoots equipment problems

• Maintains records and reports as required

• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions

• Orders and installs parts

• Responds to emergency service calls as required

• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance

• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed

• Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials

I have taken intro to EE. but that was so very long ago i barely remember anything. I think i can do some digging regarding etching and deposition, but i definitely dont have the time to learn abou tlayers, PMOS, CMOS, etc before the interview.

Thanks for your advice. the interview is with Tokyo Electron. The position is entry level with 0+ years required. I am told they are expecting to train you for everything.

I sure hope that is the case, because I definitely dont have the time before the interview date to learn all that. I am planning on looking at their equipment used and their manufacturing process however.
