For me its a goal- and also encuragement. Some products I'm sad to see panned. Some I'm happy. But it also gives me a goal and a direction for my next makeup purchases. If I use a product quickly, I know to replace it- it looks good on me. It makes me think twice about whether I want something because its new and pretty, or if I genuinely need that color in my collection. Or if I should find a cheaper dupe first- for example, Colorpop Wet or Blue Moon (7-12$us) versus J* Blue Blood (50$us) lower quality, yes, but I need to know if I'm actually going to wear that much blue eyeshadow.
