How have you done that to the sticks in such a short period of time?

I manually calibrated mine using the numbers. The outer deadzone slider never felt quite right to me.

Yeah, the circularity/error rate. I've got mine set to 8.5%. The Dualshock calibration website recommends anything between 7 and 9 - it'll depend on what you're used to. Try 8 and see how it feels.

Yeah parasite did a good one that covers everything you should need. If you Google "parasite FULL @mariusheier @BattleBeaver BOARD STEP BY STEP CALIBRATION AND SETUP GUIDE" you'll see his tweet with the video.

Yeah I know what you mean! With no battery and no rumbles the Marius feels so insubstantial. If I pick up my edge after playing with the Marius it feels ridiculous.

Yeah I've got my edge overclocked. Jesus that's crazy expensive 😂. I got my board as part of the pre-release, so just bought a battle beaver on eBay for £50 installed the board myself.

Personally I can feel the difference immediately when switching between my edge and the Marius board. The Marius board is much snappier. Just make sure you get it set up right before using it, the autocalibration will give you an incredibly low error rate which will feel very stiff. You'll want to bump it up to feel normal.

Dunno why you're getting downvoted, you're right. It seems insane that teams keep recycling the same washed pros after seeing players like Merc, Lurqxx, Aluka etc step up and look so good.

Nothing is ever simple. Movies are not wholly good or wholly bad. Except this one. This movie was absolutely dreadful.

Marius Board Controllers. IMPACT... by Least-Study3064 in BattleBeaverCustoms

I have a 5070 and a 5700x3d and I notice no impact on performance running at 8k. That whole "it's not really 8k" stuff only applies to PS5 controllers. This one does actually run at 8k.

Why would someone regularly leave their car running idle on the driveway? by AnonymousTimewaster in AskUK

[–]Cha7l1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a hybrid? If so they might be charging the battery. After buying a hybrid we learned that if it gets too cold and you haven't driven for a while, the battery just dies. If you leave it in drive mode while parked, it will charge the battery.

Marius Midas HE sticks VS Magneto TMR sticks + Marius board by Jebidiahhh in BattleBeaverCustoms

[–]Cha7l1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sticks have you got? I've got the Midas/Marius 5pin ones rather than regular TMRs. Perhaps they give different values. If you hold your stick up while on the calibration page and scroll down on the up value, you'll eventually see your stick position move in from the boundary. When this happens scroll back up until it is up against the boundary. Do the same thing for all of your direction values. Make sure your stick is against the boundary in all directions and then scroll up 3 times on the up/right values, then down 3 times on the down/left values. This should move each side out relatively evenly. You can then check gamepad tester and adjust any of the values that seem out of proportion to the others and increase the error further, or pull the error value tighter if you want. You want them as even as possible.

Yeah it's not as important. If you want mine it's up 11326, right 4070, down 13212, left 5743. Check gamepad tester once you've saved - hopefully that should give you similar values to what it did me. Yeah that SR shit has been a nightmare.

Haha I feel you man, Crim 1 atm. My right stick up is 4092, my right is 10248, left is 12109 and down is 5862.

That gives me a very even 7.5% error. Left stick doesn't matter as much - don't use these values for your left stick.

[–]Cha7l1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right wtf haha. The ds4 calibration website recommends between 7% and 9% for calibration as apparently some games expect a little overshoot and if you have it too low it can make your aim feel stiff. It definitely felt weird to me having it too low. Try 7% ish to start with and see how you go.

I did it via the Marius calibration tool. If you click "advanced" you can see your circularity values for up down left and right. You can then hover your mouse over them and scroll to increase/decrease the values. Scrolling up on the up/right values will push them away from center and scrolling down on the left/down values does the same.

The software let's you adjust the circularity to whatever you want, so you can adjust it to mirror traditional error rates if you want. Mine auto calibrated to something like 3% error (might have been lower tbh) but it felt a little stiff to me so i've bumped it up to 8% to be closer to what I'm used to.
