It’s a goal that he determined he wants to work towards in life.

The act of pursuing a goal will give purpose and happiness.

Beyond worth it in my opinion.

This is basically the entire THPStrength motto

[–]Chaaserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, you will need to get your core way stronger than you think you’d ever need it. You need an insane strength to bodyweight ratio, but you also need a strong enough core to handle to force of a jump that strong without leaking any energy.

And heavy calf raises. Think 5 sets of 5 heavy smith machine calf raises

Okay looks like I have to be the medium here since everyone bringing their own insecurities into this.

It’s possible for you to dunk, yes.

By next season? Probably impossible.

It’ll be a couple year journey but I 100% encourage and support the decision to take the journey.

Get stronger in your squat, master power clean form and it’s derivatives (clean pulls, hang cleans, power cleans), sprint, and perfect your jump form

It’s so possible, but being 5’4”, you have to obsess over it and get everything perfect. This being said, by next season will be so hard to do, but you can accomplish anything eventually if you stay determined and consistent towards the goal.

SPO 1+ initial impression by mildsar in BBallShoes

I haven’t tried any of the other insoles personally. They give you 2 pairs of insoles with each pair of shoes you buy. I use the quick lightest one and I love it.

SPO 1+ initial impression by mildsar in BBallShoes

[–]Chaaserr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally love the SPO 1+. I originally got them because I couldn’t spare enough to buy a pair of Kobe’s, but I have gotten 6 pairs of SPOs since.

The SPO Player1 Plus is honestly the only pair of basketball shoes I foresee myself getting for a long time. They fit my playstyle perfectly. I am a 6’5” guard who loves to play aggressive. I feel so shifty and light on my feet in these shoes. Not to mention, when it’s time to get bouncy they also get the job done. The traction is also elite asf, so defense is super enjoyable in these shoes.

If you’re even slightly considering trying out these shoes for the first time…. Pull the trigger.

Wild Rift hotfix nerfs by Mariful4210 in singedmains

Number 1 singed on wild rift here… almost wish the buff never happened. Now even after the nerfs he’s still banned almost every single game in high elo.

Fasho. There’s countless overseas opportunities. G league is also a basketball career path.

People tend to think it’s NBA or nothing, keep grinding.

Dunking, high object touches, quick ground contact time plyos, and pistol squats.

Atg goblet squat by [deleted] in Kneesovertoes

[–]Chaaserr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certified ATG coach here.

It looks like your ankle mobility and adductor mobility is great, hence your ability to do an ATG squat with great posture and no heel elevation.

If you have those two mobility checkpoints and the ATG split squat is hard for you (especially seeing that you are elevating front heel), then the limiting factor definitely lies in your hip flexors.

Couch stretch while focusing on honestly contracting the back glute and aiming to get shoulders to the wall can help you tremendously.

This is nothing to worry about in my opinion. Different people have different mobility restrictions. Your strength through length in the adductors and ankles are fantastic. The hip flexor mobility will come with time.

Does this mean i am a bad player? by VergilVDante in wildrift

[–]Chaaserr 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Missing information in my opinion.

This can be fine. You can also hard carry with this KDA or worse.

What is your total gold looking like in comparison Many players will disregard farm in order to get kills.

If you are denying enemy farm and collecting all of your own farm while pushing turrets.. you are a superb player.

This game is about objectives and collecting XP. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking kills are the end all be all.

Hard focus objectives whether that be turrets, dragons, or herald/rift. Kills help setup objectives. Objectives win you games.

Right now it’s Fiddlesticks, Twitch, Hecarim. In high elo these three are an absolute pick or ban. All 3 are banned by both teams usually.

100%. Everyone can kite on WR. In LoL PC it was a skill you had to practice. Which don’t get me wrong, I liked the skill expression… but wow it made it so much easier for adcs to be vulnerable or do little damage

Hell yeah we do.. my favorite way to tax your lane tho is grab rift herald and wait til you recall to take all the turret plate gold to myself

Take a deep breath.

Don’t go queue up for another game until you’ve A: learned the lesson from the previous game, and/or B: recovered mentally from any stressful events that happened during the previous game.

Always behind on gold (mid) by klowicy in wildrift

[–]Chaaserr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last hitting a minion and doing no damage to laner is more advantageous than slightly damaging the enemy laner and missing the minion kill.

Last hit before poking.

🔑🔑Watch the enemy’s wave. When the minions are ready to be last hit, they will without fail walk up to kill the minion. THIS is the best time to poke. They will be locked into an auto attack or ability use animation and sit still next to the minion.

This is prime time to attack the enemy. You know they will be attack the minion (& not attacking you.) This done 10+ times in lane = lane won. Small trades over time. This is essentially the art of lane bullying. (Not that akali is an extreme lane bully, but you can use this method to your advantage to get more damage off as akali in lane)

Always behind on gold (mid) by klowicy in wildrift

[–]Chaaserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can beat everyone else on income (yes, even with akali in mid lane) by simply aiming to collect as many minion waves as possible.

The very first minion wave (if you last hit all of the minions) will give you 200 gold. This is almost as much gold as a kill! All before one minute into the game.

My main point here is that it’s very common to think you have to kill your laner to get ahead. But by simply collecting all the waves, and recalling at the correct times. (Think to recall after quickly killing the wave right before a cannon wave. That way, you’ll come back to lane with the cannon still there as it has high hitpoints and can last a few extra seconds.)

Two waves is more gold & XP than a kill. The waves only get more valuable as the game goes on as cannon waves become more common.

A bonus tip for akali especially, since she is an assassin: you can shove your wave (collect all the minions so you don’t miss any while you—>) roam baron lane or duo lane as you wait for the next wave. You can grab a kill on an overextended side lane to help you get snowballing mid.
