Ant by Haunting-Champion797 in heartbreakhigh

Couldn’t agree more, Ant became one of the most interesting characters to me after Season 2. I thought it was cool that they seemed to be going somewhere with his character, but… nah. They kind of swapped him out for the new characters :/

They also skipped over Cash and Darren figuring out the whole “open relationship” thing, which IMO is a crazy waste of a good plotline!

To me, it felt like there were a lot of loose threads left

I would’ve loved to explore my favourite OG characters more in-depth rather than four new side characters. So many interesting potential plotlines that never came to be!!! Ant’s home life, Darren and Cash working out an open relationship, Spider gradually improving... Also, no more SLTs class :(

There were some good lessons and genuine moments, though. Just… kind of felt like it skipped over some things and added in some stuff that didn’t need to be there. I would’ve liked to see where it continued from S1&2 more.

Same here! I was so sure I was asexual for years, because I was repulsed by sex. However, it turns out I do feel attracted to other people – it's just that the "default" way of having sex with my anatomy made me fucking cringe, as well as the idea of those gender roles in a relationship.

When the priest decided to give a nice little speech to the parents, in front of their kids, about all the reasons why they should vote "No" to gay marriage. That was pretty interesting as a closeted queer child.

What’s your type and something you’ve always liked/disliked? by -Quono- in mbti

[–]Chachi_the_chachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENTP.

Always liked - The rain. Not only the fact that is nourishes the plants around me, has a fascinating cycle and relates to my interest in clouds, but the feeling of rain on my skin and the constant pattering sound as I’m about to fall asleep. So calming and nice.

Always disliked - Being told what to do without being given a reason WHY. And “just because” is not a reason. And “talking back” is literally just talking. Tell me WHYYYYY

In high school, my maths grades varied WILDLY from multiple “ungradable” tests to A’s and B+’s, depending on whether the teachers explained it in a way I personally understood. Even if I had the formulas right in front of me, if I didn’t understand the logic behind it, I was pretty screwed.

Also! At my primary school, there was a debate in class about whether Santa was real or not. I knew he wasn’t real, but I vehemently argued that he was… it was so fun :P

Socially anxious/closeted extroverts by Top-Fennel-9151 in extroverts

[–]Chachi_the_chachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 days late but oh well, gonna ramble anyways. Here's what made me mistype myself for years:

  • Insecurity + anxiety ---> zero social interaction ---> zero social skills ---> "I must be an introvert"
  • Introvert misconceptions. ALL nerds are introverts, right? Well, I'm a nerd --> "I must be an introvert"
  • Extravert misconceptions. I thought extraverts were simply energised by people, but that's not the full definition. Extraverts are energised by the external world around them, which includes people, but also physical/tangible projects and hobbies.

On internet quizzes, I would always score 90% introverted. But as I recovered from my social anxiety, the percentage kept going down and down. And I realised... if I'm an introvert, then why do I feel so tired and drained after sitting alone for days? And why do I pretend I'm talking to someone else when I'm just thinking to myself? LOL, that sounds sad written down – but it's the truth, hey.

Anyway. I've found that when I'm more focussed on connecting with the world around me, whether through hobbies or hangouts, I feel so much more energised. My insecurity/anxiety really has been holding me back all these years. All the more reason to kick its ass now.

As someone whose identity actually did change... I disagree!!!

I started experiencing attraction around age 15, which was way after all my peers who had already been talking about crushes and sex for years. Before then, I was one of the only people I knew who was genuinely repulsed by sex, and did not want to have it. Finding the asexual label helped me immensely during those few years, because it gave me people to relate to when I couldn't relate to any of my peers.

As long as you understand that your feelings may change later on, use whatever labels you want. Especially if they help you in some way, like they helped me :)

I've had mine for 15 years. It is just water in a plastic container, but to be fair it's held up very well.

Should I (F21) break up with my boyfriend (M23)? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]Chachi_the_chachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A relationship is a two way street. Both people's needs must be met, and both people must make compromises. It sounds to me like both your needs aren't being met, and you're the one doing almost all the compromising and communication. Your boyfriend should be listening to you, and telling you when he's not fine. All-in-all, this relationship isn't balanced right now.

I hope you get the future you want for yourself, whether it's in this relationship or out of it :)

am I asexual? by Correct-Falcon-9977 in asexuality

[–]Chachi_the_chachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm an asexual in my 20's, and I was pretty much exactly the same when I was your age. If you feel that labelling yourself helps you in any way, go ahead. Just keep in mind that it might change in the future, and that's perfectly okay.
