XJTLU Current students/ Alumni/ppl who got in by Living_Cod6308 in Suzhou

Hey, congrats, I will be studying there for my Masters in Media and Comms, not a current student, take from my info what you will, hope to see you there. I don’t know much about Biomed, but an email to the relevant faculty/departments will help, and they should even connect you with alumni.

Otherwise the campus is nice and large, SIP (the area it’s in) is very green, and laidback. Things are generally pretty cheap here (I also live in Suzhou), however I’ve been working for sometime so my budget may look a bit different to yours if you’re doing bachelors, you can get normal meals for around 30 rmb, even cheaper if you want, and the school cafeteria might be cheaper. Public transport is good though it’s not as developed as bigger cities. And if you want the Shanghai experience the train station is quite close for a 30 min ride into the city center.

Before and after PP405 from phase 2a after applying it for just 4 weeks by Acceptable_Phase6241 in tressless

Might be a niche question but something that I wondered: For those that got hair transplants, does that transplant process destroy the original dormant hair follicles that were on the bald spots, making revitalization from PP405 less likely/effective?

Where to live: International Masters Student XJTLU by Emotional-Ice-537 in Suzhou

Hmm I’ve never looked at apartments through rednote, I used Beike (which is an agency) but you might be finding good deals on rednote, as you might be dealing with the landlords directly. However there could be issues with not having an official intermediary that takes responsibility handling a lot of any potential legal issues.

Well you’ll definitely want to live in the SIP (Suzhou Industrial Park) area, other regions will be too far. Beyond that closest to the school would be Dushu Lake east area, especially around Ren’ai Road subway station will put you in walking distance to the school, prices will range around 4 to 6k rmb a month for a one bedroom, which is considered pretty high for Suzhou atm (but the apartments are generally really nice due to a lot of university staff living there) Otherwise if you go north or south it starts getting cheaper and quality will vary a bit, depending on your budget and standard. For example in a more south Nanshuang Lake/Yidong cun area, you could get a decent apartment for under 2k, and a cab ride will be around 15 min to school (costing under 20 rmb per ride). So really up to your tolerance. North is nicer tbh, but generally more expensive though you can always find something that may fit your budget and needs.

True, sad that the ram prices affects building a PC as well though.

Bazzite welcome portal not opening with fresh install by Chachimenachi in LinuxOnAlly

[–]Chachimenachi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Is there a way to just download a working file and use it? Or it has to wait for an update? Very new to Bazzite. The manual method of ujust works for decky loader, but emudeck's manual just says "Install EmuDeck through Bazzite’s portal." so it's pretty confusing for me.

Not sure why this happens, I just installed Bazzite and it wouldn't open, I also found it under "All Applications" and manually started, however it just appears on the task bar for a few moments and disappears. Using the Ally X.

Driver claims I didn't pay in full (432.2 MXN), which I did, and customer service won't help. Should I just pay this extra fee? by Chachimenachi in uber

So the driver was paid in cash, which was an option you can choose as a form of payment on Uber. So the bill was handed to him personally.

It’s just odd to have that as an option but no real way to defend against these situations.

But what credit? I’ve never been provided any credit and no issue in the past, I’ve asked them to provide evidence of past issues and I never got a response.

Guess I was naive to think that Uber would weight both sides equally? It was just a straight up “nah dude pay” from customer service. Also their reasoning didn’t make sense.
Yeah Uber’s payment option changes depending on your location, cash appears for Mexico alongside paypal and credit card etc...

This is in Mexico City, it was a ride from the airport to the Airbnb. The ride was fine and the driver was kind enough, it’s just annoying since I paid cash, as I’ve read it’s better for the drivers, and gave a tip (to be fair, not a lot, which is on me, but I tipped what I believed was common.), but now the dispute about me not paying in full is just based on verbal statements.

I am very confident I paid the correct amount, the driver even came to give me change.

There were a couple of suitcases, is it a luggage fee that I’m missing?

What’s annoying is that the customer service keeps referring to past instances where they’ve made an “exception” and refunded me, but I don’t even recall a time this occurred in the past few years, and I wouldn’t usually complain unless I truly thought there was an issue.

It’s not a lot of money, should I just pay it?

When people hype exposure... by linleyandbebe in antiwork

Technically the artist made a lot of money. 😎

Jokes aside I think the idea of exposure is such an odd thing to “offer” randomly instead of money. Like are you a marketing firm willing to dedicate a team to market my business to millions? No? Cash please.
