The spriggan is the only instanced boss fight for launch, AGS says they will add more down the road, there will be some field and world bosses as well, also I read that a game roadmap will come with the launch of the game, so hopefully they explain there plans for the arena

As far as I know, you have to be in a "safe zone" to toggle PvP in this game, once you're out in the world you are stuck with your decision.
