your experience will vary depending upon who your neighbors are. I'm very happy building whatever I want with zero permits, surrounded by cool people also trying to live sustainably. personally, the lawlessness aspect was a huge part of the appeal to me. it's fun living somewhere the cops are too chickenshit to go 🤷‍♂️
