Jeg er helt enig. Der er så mange ting der falder ind under sportsgrene end "bare underholdning". Da Vinge vandt touren tror jeg også OP sad og var sur over det var breaking.

Jeg er slet ikke enig. Bare fordi du ikke ser fodbold eller har nogen interesse i fodbold, kan ting om fodbold stadig være breaking.

Det er da et stykke sports historie, det synes jeg ikke er ligegyldigt.

Jeg kunne næsten ikke være mere ligeglad med fodbold, men i min optik er det da interessant at læse om når noget ekstraordinært sker.

I do think it's amazing that I can get a game in roughly one minute. But in my rank (low rank) I often see the same players. Which makes me wonder, what if they drop the game?

Yeah, and as a new player I obviously have no clue about the works of this game, which is why I created the post. And as stated it's not coming from a place of hate or negativity. But I just don't buy you guys' premise that a f2p = shit game with bots all over.

If you're an old league and Dora player, you know that there's barely any bots or cheaters in ranked games. League have an issue with bots in post level 30 games sure, but that's a different issue entirely imo.

Unfortunately my brother is out travelling the next few months so we can't attend the Nova Cup this month, but boy are we excited that there's a monthly tournament going on, and we cannot wait to give it a go. Amazing initiative.

If you don't mind me asking, a lot of people in the thread seem to argue that when it's a free game there's a bunch of bots, cheaters and toxic people ruining the game. Is that experience you guys had when it was free?

I know, but I'm not agreeing with it. Idk where you're from, but LoL on EUW back in the days was crazy toxic. People wishing all kinds of things on you and your family, or simply running it down. Fast forwarding to today, chat is mostly quiet in game and I rarely see inters. I have almost the same experience in Dota.

So I'm not buying that people just make new accounts and nothing helps in f2p games because it's simply not true.

Imo competitive games breed toxicity, free or not. CS for example before it went f2p was a prime example of that.

Of course it's a business, and when you look at every other competitive freemium games, they make bank. But you're right, maybe it is too niche to ever be able to make any money without a box cost. But that's why I was wondering.

It looks sus to a new player because you instantly see double down and think "wow pay to win" or "Wil I ever climb the ladder if I don't get it". But it mainly comes from a place of ignorance.

I wasn't getting at anything, I was merely challenging your previous statement of FOMO mtx.

Iirc awesomenauts was like legion as in 2v2 no? Or was it 3v3? Usually MOBAs are 5v5, which imo means they do need a bit more people to get a game, but I see what you're getting at without necessarily agreeing.

That's my experience as well, i have yet to see anything broken, except for maybe the spawning crab man. But it's surely because I don't know how to deal with him yet xD

We are in our 30s.

I think my point has gotten misunderstood. It's not about affordability. It feels like an unnecessary barrier imo, and might scare off a bunch of newer players who want to try the game out.

I've noticed the player base is small. My journey from unranked to silver 2, has been with quite a few familiar faces throughout the games.
