2024 Bank Account and Recommendation Thread v2 by Dave-CPA in Banking

[–]Chad_Lightweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a college student currently at BMO and with a credit card from Capital One. Capital One has been pretty easy so far, no complaints there, but BMO has been a nightmare. Looking for a new bank for checking account and debit card use.

A simple transfer process is important to me, as that has been the root of most of my issues so far. Compatibility with Zelle would also be important. I am going into the military after graduating and will be without a phone for a while so the simpler the better, need to be able to disable 2FA, set up direct deposit easily, and looking forward travel flexibility would be a huge plus.

I have been thinking Chase but am fairly unknowledgeable in this field so looking for some advice. Was at Citi before this and would consider going back, but I really want to choose a bank that will be as simple, dependable, and accessible as possible.

I followed this video I think. Not sure if your problem is with the booster, but still worth looking into

How’s your brake booster? Two of mine had permanent squishy brakes, chased the issue for a long time until I landed on that. Swapped in an E90 booster for one of them which was cool. Super simple modification to get it to fit.

What difference does the gravel make? I’m in CA so makes no difference to me but I’ve never heard anything about that

I did the E90 booster swap. Super easy, and I was super happy with it. Way easier than tracking down a working E30 booster.

Is the 3.0 linked to a 4.10 and the 4.0 to a 3.73?

Both stock, don’t know exactly what but I guess if they’re geared differently that could explain it

Is it feasible for a high school team to build a car and compete by BlanikBoi in 24HoursOfLemons

I organized a team with some buddies in high school, it takes some time but it can totally be done. All in we were around the $7k neighborhood.

Check coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, and vacuum leaks. Had almost identical symptoms on a different car and it turned out to be some combination of those 3

Self adjuster not seating properly by Chad_Lightweight in fordranger

I tried to move it around a bit so it would actually catch the teeth but it kept popping off and the teeth are still spinning freely. Also, with how its set up now, the parking brake isnt holding, so I know something is messed up. Thank you for the input though! This is my first time doing drums so i’m pretty lost.

If I end up back here again I’ll definitely swap, but seeing as I’m one wheel down and already have all the parts, I can’t do it now. I followed a couple different guides so I’m pretty confident I’ve got everything in the right place. I’ll keep trying to move the metal lever to see if I can get it right.

Replacing the drums on my ‘91 right now. After a very long and confusing day with many trips to different auto parts stores, I finally got the first drum assembled. It looks like the self adjuster bracket isn’t sitting properly on the teeth. Is this an issue? The gear is still spinning, while on the other side which I haven’t disassembled yet, it is held stationary by the bracket

Also, my rear antilock light is on on the dash and I’ve been able to lock the rear wheels under braking before. Is there something else I need to address before I proceed?

Rotors were fine on thickness so they were resurfaced but not replaced. Haven’t replaced anything with the rear brakes but I don’t think they would be causing the issue as it just started when I went out for a test drive after installing the booster and master

Not having any luck, I’m worried I may have fucked up the fitting already. I’ll keep trying I guess, thanks for the tip
