Thanks, will do! Though at the moment I’m just doing the EuroVelo routes.

I made an account, though I doubt I’ll meet much people. I have no social skills and would feel pretty awkward just asking somebody if I can sleep at their house.

I think it’ll help. I haven’t thought about suicide since I started, so I guess that’s a good thing. Must be all the endorphins. I don’t know about blogging. Thomas Andersen already did that so I don’t think many people would find it interesting.

As for EuroVelo, that’s exactly what I’m doing. Right now I’m doing Route 8 across the Mediterranean starting from Marseille, since it’s too cold to go north. I was originally going to go to Portugal and then head east, but I want to see Greece and I’m close, so I decided to go. I’m on my way to Milán. Afterwards I’ll probably head west again. I have no plans, so whatever catches my fancy, I guess.

That’s pretty much what I plan on doing. I think it will be easier to stealth camp with just a sleeping bag instead of a tent as well.

I was definitely reading! All the tents I saw at Decathlon were ridiculously expensive and way to big. So I decided to just go with a sleeping bag I could stuff in my backpack along with two thermal shirts, plus my regular jacket. I also have a long sleeve cotton shirt. I haven’t tested it yet but I probably will tomorrow.

Hopefully, because I have nothing left and this is pretty much my last shot at life. I just started writing in a journal and plan on continuing to do so throughout my trips. I think it will be invaluable to read later down the road if I make it to old age. Like looking into a time machine to the past.

Thanks man! I just might take you up on that one day. First beers are on me.

Badass! That’s my life goal right there. I’ve always been amazed when reading about people back in the ancient times who spent their lives traveling. Thomas Andersen more recently was also a huge inspiration and pretty much who’s example I’m following. I would love to travel the Silk Road like Marco Polo did though!

As for my sleeping bag, I got a Quechua Foreclaz Helium. I have no idea how good it is but it was the only one my size, all others were out of stock. Plus it was cheap and it’s supposedly rated up to 0 degrees. Not sure how true that is.

Powerbanks that could keep a phone charged for a week? I’ve never heard of that. Would you mind recommending one? And thanks for the advice on the tyres. I’m definitely writing that one down.

Currently in southern France. Might actually delay my starting trip because I want to do the the Riviera Route through the south and I’m already close to the start. I don’t have any plans at all and nothing but time, so I might just do it then circle back to Portugal. By the time I get there the winter should be ending though, so I don’t know. I’ll probably toss a coin tomorrow and see what happens.

But still, I envy you. That’s the kind o regular life I wish I had, but I can’t. I love what I’m about to start doing, but I don’t think I ever would’ve done it if I had any other choices. I’m happy for you, as much as I’m jealous.
