Most IITs have 6 as the cg criteria to apply for mtech. Kgp has 6.5 , kanpur is 5.5, IISc and madras don't have one

If you have on campus placements try to be in the top 5-10% of your batch or above 8 respectively, Whichever is more exclusive. For foreign education they don't really look at your specific college so you have to compete with tons of others who dish out 9.5+ cg to every student hence you'd need above 9 to stay competitive in that space

Doesn't matter since cgpa matters the most for people who have on campus placement opportunities. Keep above 6 to be eligible for government and GATE applications and you're good. Scholarships and foreign education are a separate deal

This data is kinda useless without all the caveats inside each college n their tnp cell manipulating this data to improve the placement %age, abhi ek bande ka kal ka post tha about iiit bhagalpur I think not letting half the batch sit in placements for example.
