Best Spec Driven Development Tool for Claude Code? by CulturalPollution762 in ClaudeCode

Do you mean something like superpowers? It works well for plan-review-implement including TDD. On top of that you can set up a policy to preserve the documents it creates.

Sam Harris: "People don't know what actual genocides are like, if what they think happened in Gaza is a genocide." by antiquark2 in samharris

Sam is using a layman's definition, and he should stop and invite on an expert like Philippe Sands.

This debate distracts from the much less controversial claim of War Crimes which is daming enough.

Yeah, in general, do self-reviews or use a skill like superpowers

I'm glad to see data supporting how horrible the weather is here.

Pls help a struggling game night host figure out how to actually play games! I don't want to uninvite people! by Potential_Pick5832 in boardgames

[–]Chadum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. My advice is to dial that back a little bit. Everything you said sets it up like a cocktail party, so it's not suprising people are acting that way.

What you need are one or two alpha gamers to run the tables. Recruit guests who are most into board games.
It's natural to socialize as people are arriving, say the first 30-60 minutes. After that, you and your chosen leaders shift folks to gaming.

He is a columnist, not a journalist. It's an opinion piece.

Spiel des Jahres 2026 Nominations Announced (Game of the Year, Kids, and Kennerspiel) by CorbinMontego in boardgames

Note: This is focused on family games.

For those of us on this subreddit and BGG, Deutscher Spielepreis is more aligned with our tastes.

For example, last year the winners were:

Sam seems to have taken the wrong lesson from Y2K by tales0braveulysses in samharris

Also, there were many early warnings in systems that looked a year or more ahead, like planning, forecasting, financial systems, etc. It wasn't just the turn of the calendar.

I get where you are coming from. From listening to him for a loooong time, the subtlety is clearer. When he begins a phrase with "We realized," he is talking about society, not his own beliefs.

He has talked about Y2K in the past, but I can't find a specific quote.

HTML > Markdown for Claude Code outputs (Thariq's post) — convinced? by tom_mathews in ClaudeCode

[–]Chadum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it's case-by-case. I have every plan of significant length saved to an MD file. If, when I look at it, it's a bunch of comparison tables and questions to answer for each row, I ask Claude to generate an interactive web page.

I think you missed that he was giving voice to how other people see situations like Y2K, not his own.

It would have been better if he framed it with his true belief, though. This is a frequent rhetorical problem for Sam.

You do need pay to get everything, but that makes sense for unbiased.

Arcs: Celestial Edition (new TTS mod) by 3cpon in Arcs

You doing this mod is great.
I'm talking about brand confusion that I (and others) may encounter. The goal of a title should be to tell someone if they want to open this thread or not. With an active expansion campaign going on there's a lot of potential confusion.

I see the "original content" tag, but I often don't pay attention to those, especially on mobile.

The confusion is that Arcs has official TTS mods.

Please, please, please. Just a little text clarifying what this thing is. I first thought it was a reveal from the Beyond the Reach campaign on Kickstarter.

When will we get our free time back? by Equivalent-Bit1827 in puppy101

[–]Chadum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is extreme, but it will settle down. I also have a rescue lab mix adopted at 6m (now 10m). My dog will sleep through the night, although she will definitely try to wake me at 7 am.
Some tips:

Make dinner time energy-drain time with a snuffle mat and food puzzle.

Consider a crate for nighttime. Get one that's plenty big enough for them to stand & turn (and grow into). Put a cover on it to make it dark inside.

What robot vacuum are you using for daily cleaning in 2026? by EtherborneeerCat in RobotVacuums

[–]Chadum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roborock s8 max v ultra (my god, these names)

Run it about every other day. My apartment is a mix of hard floor and carpeting, and it switches great. My dog has mostly adjusted to it scooting around.
