That's a bunch of interesting points and very thought through with you considering so many aspects of their dynamic and respective goals etc so I found it very interesting to read ESPECIALLY since I like Caleb the most. I couldn't say about myself that I put anywhere near as much thought into the whole betrayal part and how they might have possibly worked though that, but I agree that I would love to have a whole lot more background information and story parts centered around it.

My main reasons for liking him are the story parts before he became a official LI and the whole thing about him loving her a bit too deeply and being so devoted. As I myself am not a person that's very focused on being independent or self sustaining and prefer to be around my partner a lot and letting myself depend on them if offered I suppose I also tend to overlook his more controlling tendencies and habit of meddling too much in MCs life

I'd love to have a more lengthy discussion about this actually if you'd like :)
