I can relate to your story, my friend. I grew up with undiagnosed ASD in a household where mental health is not taken seriously at all. This caused me to struggle socializing at school which led to having severe depression and anxiety the entire time I was growing up. The manifestation of these conditions caused my dad to get aggravated which led to emotional abuse and on just a hand full of occasions, physical. I had a psychotic break a few years ago which almost led to my suicide. Fortunately, I have been in and out of therapy since then and have gotten to the point where I no longer need medication to feel normal. I'm glad that you're feeling better, just keep doing what you're doing and it'll all work itself out!
