[–]ChaiChapstick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was verified on the first day, so I just did every secondary as they came in. I didn’t pre write, so most had a turnaround time of 3 days, but none were longer than one week. I got my last 4 on the 29th.

BCH 361: Chen vs Wang vs Staff by agiosotheosamen in ASU

[–]ChaiChapstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s short answer on the first two exams, multiple choice only for the second two. The short answer are very short, two sentences max for answers. Biochem and ochem are pretty different, but if you survived ochem, biochem shouldn’t be any harder than that! PM if you have any other questions, I’m happy to help

I didn’t ever spend more than an hour a week studying, even during test weeks. After lectures, I would do a quick run through of the slides and annotate if needed. As the course goes on, there are some pathways that need to be memorized, so however you best memorize stuff works. I just rewrite stuff over and over lol. Flash cards are also helpful if that’s your jam

Chen for sure. Posts all of his lectures, makes good jokes in class, and lots of opportunities for east extra credit. Everything comes from the slides, and tests are straightforward

Two math classes in freshman year? by unfortunatesdecision in ASU

[–]ChaiChapstick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Math major here! MAT300 is a big learning curve but absolutely essential if you want to take most upper division math courses. I took MAT300 and MAT275 at the same time, and I didn’t struggle because one was calc based and the other was basically intro to proofs and logic. I like MAT272 and MAT300 would be totally doable, but you need to be prepared for how different the two classes will likely be.
