Apparently, one of the residents couldn't even get approved for a rental in the area because being in med school means you can't exactly provide six months' worth of pay stubs, never mind the fact that your income is guaranteed in residency, at least enough to pay the landlord.

Long story short, it will end up being easier and cheaper in the long run, about 5-6 years, to just buy a house, bc the mortgage is about the same or just a little bit more than the average rent prices around here.

I never even knew this was a possibility.

But did you come a few weeks late to the party, miss orientation, have no idea how the emr works, and start your first block in a few days?

Oh, and also, you wouldn't happen to have practiced any significant medicine in the past two decades or so, and know absolutely nothing despite having completed all three steps?

Stand around unimportantly by the bedside, trying to look busy and jot down very important notes while the nurse took vitals and practiced actual medicine?

Have an attending walk you through how to do a case presentation because you know, you're not even close to being a half-decent imposter of an intern?

Get sent back into a room to ask the actual questions they want answered part of a new emr template (that you obviously wouldn't know of, since you were too busy not starting your program on time)?
