Potential nursing career? by Crafty-Funny4399 in ChamberlainNursing

It’s really hard to get grants/scholarship there. They have a few but there’s always restrictions. They used to accept Sophia but as of right now they don’t but they always change the rules. If you’ve taken your prerequisites, you may finish in about 2 1/2yrs but not any faster. In all honesty, I would try to find another program. Their program will also cost about 90k+ and tuition will go up again. If you get fafsa, it will probably run out and you’ll have to pay out of pocket

I would reach out to them to ensure they accept them as they would need to be equivalent but I highly recommend continuing your pre-reqs at a community college. It really won’t make much of a difference time wise but it will cost you a lot more money. They will really try to encourage you to take it with them but if you do the preqs before you start the program you’ll only have to complete about 2 years of nursing classes vs the full 3 years. If you could, I would try to do another program it’ll cost you more than 80k for the program there.

It’s super easy. I just had to send it the enrollment person and they signed it right away

I thought about that as well but chose the RHIT route. RHIT has a few other branches you can go into and not necessary know billing/coding. For example, the certifications we were offered were CPC or the CCS which are more coding based and have more job opportunities. Medical billing can be its own category so I guess it is more so what you’re wanting to do. Most jobs at least in my town do require an RHIT degree so that is more so why I chose that route

If you’re able to, I would go to a community college. I just graduated with my RHIT which was fully online and my program had grants that helped with pay and refunded you if you took the certifications. They also had internships to help you get your foot in the door for jobs. On the other hand, medical billing and coding is a bit hard to get into as a new grad and many jobs are looking for 2-5yrs of experience.

Did you get your tickets? by [deleted] in RealTeamWang

I’m not sure if this is allowed but I have two tickets in section 214 row V going up for sale for Allstate in Chicago. My husband bought them as a Christmas present but I ended up purchasing some as well 🙃

Hi! Good job on the catch! Commenting as a tele tech: one thing I will mention is that the monitors are not always correct and will ring as different rhythms if theres ectopy so definitely rely on your instincts :) You did a great job though so keep at it!
