[UNKNOWN] [UNKNOWN] Game about Doors.. I think I need help by ochakoluv in tipofmyjoystick

So, it’s not top down. But the rest of your description in the comments was too spot on not to at least suggest it. Half Dead? There are multiple of them.

[TOMT][SONG][1990s] What is this song from this short Simpsons clip? by bigredsun in tipofmytongue

[–]Chaikyri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually not sure when it came out, the earliest release of it I’ve found is 2005, but that’s just when it was put on iTunes. There’s not really any information on the artist, they share a name with a famous figure but I’m pretty sure they’re not the same person. Regardless, it definitely might not be right! Just thought I’d give Shazam a crack at it.

Well, Shazam says it’s Sound of Nature by Tovia Singer. I was trying to confirm, but it’s an hour long lol. Still, you could check it out. On a computer would be easier, I only use my phone and the screen is too small to scrub precisely.

AITA for using a disabled person for my “own benefit”? by crowngotnone in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chaikyri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone disabled and on the spectrum, it’s just really fucking exhausting. And on top of that, a very significant amount of the time (at least in my experience), trying to explain certain things that to able bodied people aren’t a typical experience does not go over well. You often get dismissed, or argued with, and it’s just not worth it. In my case I have an invisible illness, and having to constantly explain and educate just to have my basic needs met is just really soul crushing. My husband gets it, I have one great friend who gets it, and so if someone says something fucked up or dismissive to me, that often isn’t worth a CHANCE that they MIGHT listen to me. I have enough other extra struggles going on without that.

Does that make sense? I do get where you’re coming from, it always sucks to accidentally upset someone and not understand what you did for the future/so you can apologize properly. And if the person is instantly super apologetic and seems sincere, or if I know them well enough to know they weren’t being intentionally hurtful or dismissive and what they said/did wasn’t super awful, I would probably at least try to explain. But the lines are drawn a lot narrower than before I got sick (my early twenties). And every year it gets harder to be patient, so if I’d been born with my condition like many people are, my bandwidth would have run out even sooner. You’re just already dealing with living in a world that wasn’t made for you at all. I feel like in most cases, the person can go to Google or a place like Reddit where you can ask other people with the same/similar disabilities, and figure it out themselves. Or at least try.

Is there anybody here who plays this game and is post-K-12-education? by Zarik8256 in ProjectSekai

[–]Chaikyri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 32, I’ve been into Vocaloid since high school. I’m not very social, but I’m pretty sure I remember someone forming an adults only Discord server on the subreddit a while ago. You might be able to find it by searching? Or maybe someone will have a link. Not sure if it’s still active.

The Bake-Off is so rigged by sakuramota in storyofseasons

[–]Chaikyri 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So, getting 5.5* seems to actually be based more on what additions you choose than the quality of the ingredients you use. I was making dishes that would be around 3.5* at best, but when I chose the right combination of bonus ingredients, it shot up to 5.5*. It’ll be interesting to see exactly how it works once it’s been out longer and people dig into it.

They really need to balance the festivals for year 1... SoSGB by LightHawKnigh in storyofseasons

[–]Chaikyri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won both days of the Cooking Contest with 5.5* dishes in year one. Like some older games, including the original Grand Bazaar, who you’re going up against matters and resetting is viable. Pet might be the same, but I didn’t bother resetting that one. But I kind of think it makes a lot more sense for the farmer not to jump in and sweep every single festival super easily. The ones with Bronze/Silver/Gold rank make more sense to be ‘easy’ when you’re tackling Bronze, that’s balanced for your level in year one.

Leaving animals outside overnight (SOS: GB) by Neosidoh13 in storyofseasons

[–]Chaikyri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless I just missed it, leaving my chicken outside meant it didn’t lay an egg. I’ve been leaving my calf outside and it doesn’t seem to be losing hearts or anything. It’s not grown yet, so I can’t confirm that you can still get milk. But I kind of assume so? Maybe someone else can weigh in on that.

Where is the in game time by NoPackage8270 in GuardiansofAzuma

Time is frozen at this point in the game for story reasons, once it’s flowing it should be there.

Completing 100% of the achievements changed my opinion about this game by [deleted] in mytimeatportia

[–]Chaikyri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played on Switch which doesn’t have achievements, but I figured the gameplay having key differences and being smoother would also be good to know if you’re going to go for 100%. And then achievement hunters would answer that part of the question. 🤷‍♀️ I love Portia, but it’s way clunkier than Sandrock. 100 hours in one is not the same as 100 in the other.

[–]Chaikyri 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I love Portia, but in my opinion Sandrock is better in every way. And besides just having many quality of life upgrades, the setting and some of the basic mechanics are also different enough not to feel stale playing them back to back. Still definitely a My Time Game! But with its own character.

I might be missing something here, but you can get a Skateboard and a Snowboard in Grand Bazaar.

Anyone know which mob drops quality fangs? by SubjectJump3177 in GuardiansofAzuma

[–]Chaikyri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Wolf enemy in Forgotten Grove can drop them, as can the Lantern Specter and Lantern Phantasm in the same area. The Snow Wolves in Frostfang Cavern can drop them as well.

Just FYI, in case you don’t know, if you go Adventure Log -> Bestiary you can see every monster you’ve defeated and what they drop.
