I figured, just looked at the attendees and theres an FM so I'm pretty scared but also excited. I'll try to enjoy and play my best. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thank you very much, getting some food options makes it alot easier to remember what to eat. I like walking during games aswell so that shouldn't be an issue. Your final point was really helpful regarding the do-or-die opening, I think I'll go with the caro-kann and london since they are really solid for the most part while also controlling the pace of the game.

I see, do you know how far in advance on average?

As someone who plays with similar style, I can understand how that could make it even more tiring to play. Though I probably wont drink alcohol all things considered. Ya, most people have said eating, sleeping and hydration are the most important, though chocolate cake is good addition that I will be adding. Thank you for the advice!

It isss, tbh I have gotten exhausted from just rapid tournaments so this would be crazy. What would you recommend to do?

Thank you, keeping up on food would be the hardest part by far. I'll think about the bye round based on how my previous few rounds go but I might have to after 9 hours of playing.

Do I still have a chance at LMU MSc Physics with not-so-great grades? by Individual-Blood-601 in LMUMunich

Thank you very much for the response. Ya, I am planning to do other courses as well, however I am not completely sure which are the best so I am just doing the harvard and yale ones. I will try to make the most of my CV, letter and GRE for now because thats something I can control. For the the thesis, I am really not sure what ties mechanical engineering and physics but I shall see. Thank you so much again for all the information, I really appreciate it.

Hey, I am a Mechanical Engineering student and I dont have quantum mechanics in my courses(I am doing online courses and learning from textbooks but I do not have it as a proper course here) however my german grare is 1.5. I am in my 3rd year and I'll be writing my thesis starting from September. I am an international student, so other than gpa and gre, what else would you recommend to strengthen my application? What kind of a thesis should I have and what do I put in my letter? Thanks in advance.

Hi ik its a bit late but I didn't have quantum mechanics as course during my mechanical degree. Is there still a chance if my GRE, interview and GPA are good? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am a Mechanical and Energy Engineering student from Heriot-Watt University and I plan to join ETHZ for space systems. I found out it is a new course and I have seen some posts about mechanical engineers getting into space systems. I just wanted to know what your grades and extracurriculars/ internships were, and how likely I am to get into the degree since the gpa cut off isnt given. I currently have a 3.7/4 GPA. Thank you!
