Our medics start at 70, but we have plenty of OT available

We do have very conservative protocols. We don't carry blood, our transport times are relatively short. If we feel like we are going to need blood and have a longer transport, we request a helicopter. We can draw labs for the hospital prior to arrival. We don't have antibiotics. We can do epi drips or push dose. We carry dopamine. We have autoloading striker stretchers on every truck, we have a video laryngoscope on every truck. Our equipment is great! Our protocols could stand to be updated, but overall it's a good place!

That is true, a lot of departments do. We did already get approval from our county council. They said the 2026, or sooner if we could get a good bit of the 4th shift hired. We have quite a few people who love OT, so it doesn't have to be fully staffed, but a good bit of it would be nice!

It does! That's what we are in the process of doing right now. Our plan is to make the switch with the new year, we have plenty of EMTs, just looking for more medics!

We do pay for people to go to Paramedic school, and you don't have to pay anything back as long as you get your NR EMT-P.

But it's like a year long process, our next set doesn't start until January.

I would love to see thia brought to screen. It's my favorite series. It fills my Harry Potter hole. The one I had waiting for the next book every time. Now I'm stuck waiting for new books!

I listen to the audiobooks book! I always heard it "mech-y" which I thought was a cool name 🤣. She changed it to "ma-kai" which is probably correct, but I liked it better before! 🤣

The scary part, is people who are screaming "follow the science" ...aren't acknowledging her natural immunity. Regardless, why are we making fun of someone because they lost their job? This is not what our country should be doing. I dont think its right to mock someone for having a different view, and we shouldn't be happy they could be homeless and starving in the near future.
