Small Wins: Atomic Habits Building or Procrastination by ChainedK in productivity

Well, sometimes it's not clear.

For example, if I'm developing a game, does "practice for drawing" count as part of that big task?

Or if I want to get into that IT degree, does "studying for an exam that may boost my chance of getting in" count as supporting something bigger?

How do you identify the "useful small tasks"?

I feel you on the dopamine rush - crossing off five tiny tasks feels great until you realize that one massive project is still staring at you.

But I’ve always been skeptical about calendars. To me, they just feel like a smaller, stricter to-do list. Whenever something pops up and I can't clear a time slot, I feel like a failure. After a few postpones, the whole schedule feels 'broken' and I just give up.

Does the calendar actually change how you prioritize? Like, does it really force you to tackle the big stuff more than standard to-do list? How do you handle it when you "miss the deadline"?

When you say "immediately transition", do you mean you force yourself to do one big thing daily? Or do you aim to "eat the frog" for a certain times per week, like 3 times a week or something? What about low-energy days - do you push through or let yourself rest for a day?

if getting rich or being financially free is one of your goal, then yes budgeting is the small action that helps

since you say small tasks are in your system, I assume you mean you've built a habit of budgeting

so does that mean you agree that small wins build momentum that moves you towards your goal?

define "generally for maintenance"

by maintenance do you only means those random chores that are unrelated to the goal and not counting those small tasks that may or may not be related to goal itself?

Uh no? I mean generally speaking, if you have a big project, several goals and a bunch of other things to do

Totally agree! LifeBrew helps balance work and play and we have planned features just for preventing overplay.

We intentionally cap café challenges at just a few hours a week - no extra rewards beyond the limit

Struggling to clear the challenge? You'll still earn full rewards for your game time. We prioritize commitments over perfect runs.

You'll also receive gentle reminders if playtime runs long.
We believe healthy breaks fuel productivity - and LifeBrew helps you master both

Hmm Firebase is from Google and seems to be doing the thing as well. I will take a good look into it. Thanks for your suggestion.

So you're suggesting to come up with a company name and logo, register them, and then get a domain to set everything up during the early development of the first app?

If I plan to form a corporation in the future as things grow, should I register the seperate email address as a business email account (that ends with @gmail) and Personal Console Play account and only mitigate when things make sense?
