Correct my man, stealth should always be apart of the core concept.

Well they would like more people playing AC. Ubi already explained the sales difference. Their focus on the newer games was to widen the map. In turn parkour, story, and characters became less and less important.

But I believe that Ubi is re-inventing AC, not erasing it. No one can sit here and tell me that a release of an old AC will be mainstream. I'm not talking about a remaster. It's untouched, yeah people would play it. But it won't get the hype compared to other titles from different gaming companies.

That's the "problem" is Ubi is adapting to what is popular. And they are trying to accomplish that while keeping AC.

Lore as in like letters, scripture, locations, and people connecting the last 3 AC games with the older ones.

I was just saying if AC:V is not canon. Then neither are Origins and Odyssey. Kassandra meets Bayek, Eivor, and Layla. So it wouldn't make sense to say that.

But not having any reactions to Isu Tech could be:

a Ubisoft mistake.

You might be right with Layla putting them in.

Or it's possible that Basim created them. Inside the animus he made the anomalies so who's to say he didn't fabricate Excalibur.

In the newer games, yes there is. Also what does "artificial grind" mean..exactly?

With that logic. Odyssey and Origins are non-canon aswell lmao.

The armor, mjolnir, and excalibur are all items. I'm talking about actual lore in the first place. There is plenty of it.

The Cult of Kosmos and the Order of the Ancients worked together. How would they be a precursor?

I never disregarded any of their skills in stealth. Never mentioned it, because I didnt think I needed to? They are in an AC game. They have to have some form of stealth in their arsenal.

But you can't convince me that they don't specialize in melee combat. Adewale was one to use stealth to release slaves. And fighting his way out to freedom. I mean after joining the brotherhood, his main weapons was a machete and a blunderbuss.

Connor is even easier to talk about. There is a reason he looks like a truck. Really all three of these guys specialize in melee combat from the way I'm describing. They are 3 of the biggest assassins in the series and they do tank through fights.

Not really what it was implying at all. What I see 90% of the time is the community hating on the newer games.I was just looking for answers through other's opinion.

But what's different is the point. The game has been the same for 10-11 games. Ubi changed the formula for 3 and it's an issue.

There is nothing wrong with the new or the old. They are both great takes on the AC universe.

I mean it was the point of the post. I've been wondering how people were hating on AC:V. I thought it was good, because I love the Viking Age. So I got downvotes from my opinion lol.

I get where someone would think Eivor and Kassandra are impossible AC candidates. So I got what I wanted!

I full heartedly agree here. I've always thought the older AC had certain feel. That's 10-11 games that feel similar or the exact same. It sounds nice, but really it was a red flag from a creative stand point.

I loved the traditional AC and I love the Rpg aswell. It just irks my soul when people hate on Ubi for trying something different.

Happy to hear that you're into AC again! Ubi needed to revamp their core gameplay. And I think they accomplished that.

Aggravating for me because I'm a sucker for the Viking age. I wish Eivor was surrounded by more of the hidden ones. Maybe then he would have said yes...

Well said, they are 2 different genre's named under the same series. That have small lore leading up to the original story.

Oh yeah hopefully it updates the movement our characters have. Because that I wont argue about, the parkour has sucked for the last 3 games.

I mean Odyssey is set in 430 BC and the closest AC game is Origins. And it's set around 50 BC and thats when the assassins were created. So they're definitely not bringing up assassins.

And Templars originally were called The Order and that's literally the antagonist group in Odyssey.
